Chapter 7: heart at zero

Ida stood in front of the old abandoned building, curious was the fight club actually back. She walked forward grabbing the door and pulling it as it opened. Ida walked inside looking around going down the same stairs she always has. Pushing through the door the room was empty but the lights were on. "Hey John, is this place opening later or something, where is everyone?" The lights turned off the room was damn near pitch black Ida reached for her gun pulling it out of her blue jeans. "Took you a minute to show up" hearing Amanda's voice was enough to know this was a setup Ida hid behind a wall trying to listen to if Amanda was close. "You keep playing with me Ida, killing off the people I hired you're a real problem". while she was talking Ida heard her footsteps getting closer and closer. "After I'm done with you a celebration will be thrown, drinks and all, once I put you away".

     Ida braced herself as she heard Amanda was so close. Ida turned the corner, hitting her across the face with the gun. Amanda was on the floor holding her head, she watched Ida put her gun directly in her face, Amanda kicked Ida in the leg making her fall to her knees as she head-butted her. Ida fell back in pain "fuck you, sick asshole". Amanda got up kicking Ida in the stomach as she got on top of her pulling her knife out from her pocket. She put her hands up ready to drive the sharp blade in Ida's throat, with an opportunity Ida punched Amanda in the stomach pushing her off. Ida got on top of Amanda with her knee right on her chest as she hit her in the face over and over again. Blood getting on Ida's hand, giving Amanda a black eye, Ida, gritting her teeth showing she was enjoying this. That would stop as someone busted open the door kicking Ida in the head. When she looked back up it was Sarah who helped Amanda up as they ran out. Ida looked around grabbing her gun as she stood back up with a slight stumbled, she went out the same way as them.

     She pushed open the door as she saw them get away in a car "no I had her!". From out of nowhere Ida heard a voice "hey hey Ida come on". She turned her head to see Kami by a car. She ran over to her " come on we can catch them" kami unlocked the doors as she grabbed the handle. Ida was about to get in but then paused as she thought for a second "how did you know I was here". Kami looked back confused, "what?", "I said how did you know I was here", "listen we don't have time", "kami now!" Kami didn't respond for a second, not sure how to tell her.

      "Oh my god she told you to do this, you texted me didn't you?" Kami looked up at her "Listen she just told me to text you to be here she offered me good money I can restart Ida", "restart ?, so you can be happy and I die", "look I didn't know this was gonna happen". "what did you expect", " please just calm down ok I'll drive you back home let's go". Kami turned around pulling her car door open to get in. Before she could, a loud bang was heard and Kami's eyes widened as she fell to the ground. Ida had shot her in the spine. "Agh you piece of shit" she crawled to Ida "y..you heartless bitch I hope you burn in he..". Ida shot her in the head as she watched her face hit the ground. Ida had no emotion in her face all you could hear was her deep breathing
