Ally screamed as her vision returned to normal. Her breathing was erratic. She couldn't believe it. Megan was dead.
"No no no no! This can't be happening." Ally sobbed. This couldn't be true.
"Allyson. Baby, what did you see? What happened?" Normani asked. She was holding Ally who was squirming in her arms.
"It's Jada." Ally paused when she heard two more gunshots. "She is killing Megan, the baby, and Beyoncé. We have to go help them. We have to save them!"
Just as soon as Ally stopped talking, everyone's pagers went off. It was a mass distress signal to let everyone know that the barrier was being attacked.
"I need to get you somewhere safe." Normani stood up with Ally in her arms.
"Like hell you do!" Ally jumped out of Normani's arms. "I'm not some damsel in distress. Did you not hear a word that I said? Megan and Beyoncé are in trouble. We need to go save them! Come on!"
Normani grabbed Ally's waist. "Chloe and Halle are dealing with that. They can handle themselves. We need to stick to the plan." She pulled Ally closer. "I know that you don't want to, but we have to. Trust me. Chloe and Halle will be just fine. I know that you want to help, but they got it."
Ally shook her head in disbelief. "Normani! Why don't you want to help them? Megan is your best friend."
"Megan is the strongest Vampire that I know. Beyoncé will do everything in her will to protect her mate. Just like I will do for you. You are my top priority. Let me get you somewhere safe, my beloved. I can't put you in danger." Normani held her hand out to Ally.
"Okay." Ally took her hand.
The two sprinted off.

Halle and Chloe were currently sprinting towards the sound of the gunshots and screams.
"Where are they?" Halle asked. All she could see were trees and leaves. Then she heard a voice that made her blood run cold.
"Over here." Chloe signaled to a spot about twenty feet away. "There they are." They hid behind a tree to scope out the situation.
"You lucky fucking whore!" There was a thud that vibrated the force field.
"Kiss my fat ass, Jada!" Megan stood up.
"You doing all that talking now, but you were just running for you live like a little bitch. Next time, magic won't be able to stop me from killing you." Jada cackled. "I'm going to put a bullet right through that forehead of yours." She put the gun to her own forehead, pretending to shoot herself.
"Why are you doing this, Jada." That was Beyoncé's voice. "Why are you hurting your family like this? What have they ever done to you?"
"Pfft." Jada scoffed. "What haven't they done to me? Do you know what it is like to know that you are next in line for the throne, but your mother refuses to give it up? I have worked so hard to be the perfect ruler. I have sacrificed my chance at being with my mate, my happiness, and my marriage for her. I've done everything that she has ever asked for, and I am always treated like the villain. She doesn't care about me. All she ever cared about was that dimwitted orphan that she tried to have killed.
Megan gasped. "What? She tried to have Normani killed?" She could feel the silver burning through her veins, but she didn't care. She was going to get the answer to a question that Normani has been wondering all of her life or die trying. Somehow. Some way, she was going to find a way to get the truth to Normani.
"Yes, you didn't know?" Jada smiled. "In fact, a lot of people didn't know that because she killed just about everyone who didn't accept her change of heart. That is the big secret that Angela has been keeping from her own daughters. I had to learn everything from Mark." Jada hit the force field again. "My own mother didn't trust me with this information. I'm going to make sure that everyone knows her secret. I am going to make sure that she suffers for having her own people killed. Before she married my father, Lawrence, she too was a red eyed killer. My father was from the Kordei strand, formally known as the slave strain. Like Normani, he was adopted into the royal family."
Megan was following along until Jada digressed. "What is the point in bringing this up?" She asked so Jada would get back on track.
Jada rolled her eyes. "Pay attention, dumbass. The point is that after-"
"Jada!" Angela sneered. She was standing in front of Jada. The only thing that separated them was the force field. Her eyes were shinning a vibrant pink color. "I can't believe that my own daughter would betray me like this."
"Hello mommy dearest! You honestly can't be that surprised, considering how you have been treating me lately." Jada pouted. It was her way of being condescending towards her mother.
"I should have known from the moment we brought you in after Khalid tried to kill Ally that you were up to no good." Angela scoffed. "You didn't hire Khalid, but you did alert Mark to where Ally was. You told him everything that he needed to know, didn't you?"
"Close but not quite. I told Lynn. Lynn Whitfield. You remember her? She was your good friend and Normani's mentor until you got jealous of how close she was with Normani." Jada's purple eyes held that same intense gaze as Angela's did. "Had Khalid not been such a fucking disappointment, Ally would be dead, Normani would have killed herself, and I would be queen right now."
"You only betrayed me for power?" Angela asked. She need to hear the truth.
"No. I also did it because I know who you really are." Jada spat at the ground in front of Angela. "You are disgusting, and you were never meant to be queen nor a mother. Especially not to Normani. You killed her strain out of unjustified hatred and jealousy. Daddy saw right through your little innocent poetry girl act, the minute he married you, didn't he?"
Angela refused to respond to Jada. Her eldest daughter was reaching and sowing together her own story from a web of lies. "Yaya, Thandiwe, and Zoe get Megan and Beyoncé out of here!"
"But mama-" Thandiwe started.
"I said to get them out of here! Now!" Angela screamed.
Her daughters just nodded. They grabbed the two women to take them to the infirmary.
"What?!" Jada laughed a humorless laugh. She knew that she was on to something. She had struck a nerve. Years ago, that look from her mother would have terrified her into silence, but not anymore. She was done with her mother. She decided go a step further. "Whats wrong, Angela? You afraid that they will find out that you're the real reason behind the genocide of the Kordei strand and not Normani's parents!" Jada shouted for anyone near them to hear. "You used the Estefan coven to cover your tracks. You are a heartless murder! A killer! You killed daddy because he wanted to do better for his strain, and you didn't like that!"
Angela hissed. Her four fangs on full display. "Let's get one thing straight! I did not kill your father! There is more to the story than you will ever know! I loved your father with all of my heart. He was a good man. A great man and an better leader than anyone."
"But?" Jada pushed for Angela to go on.
"But he wouldn't listen to his mother." Angela growled out.
"Grandma?" Jada asked. Mark said nothing about grandma being involved.
"Yes!" Angela threw her hands in the air. "The old bitch may have gave up the crown, but she never gave up control. You think that you know the whole story, but you don't even know the half of it." Angela turned on her heel. She walked away from Jada and stopped dead in her tracks. She felt like she had seen a ghost. The last person she wanted to see was staring at her with cold eyes.
"Then what is the whole story, Angela?" Normani asked. She was furious. She was fuming! Her biological parents died for nothing, and it was all the royal family's fault. He parents were probably turning in their graves, seeing Normani have a loving relationship with their murder. Normani knew that she would be furious too if this happens to her future child.
