welcome to the haunted souls arc🎃👻
________________Day after the anniversary. Nothing new or important happens, the hotel is run by staff as usual. Well, whatever happened between Mark and Lucy that night was another topic to talk about itself.
After David has sung Catapult with the band, there was some unknown force driving Lucy to be mad at Mark, not even explaining why.
As Mark was busy himself, he didn't have much time to even talk to Lucy about yesterday's confession of love to one another.Lucy was in her room, reading a book, when she seemed to hear some loud voices come out of the floor corridor. 'Must be kids or something,' she thought to herself.
Fact was, those weren't kids' voices. They sounded too much like a middle aged man. Lucy got up to check it out, curious who's the owner of that voice. Before she opened her door though, she heard another man laughing; it sounded too much like Alex's. But his office was on the second floor.
Her curiosity got the better of her, she flung the door open and stormed out of the corridor, only to find herself in someone's bathroom, standing at the sink, looking at herself in the mirror.
"W-What..? Where am I?" She looked around, the bathroom looking almost exactly like hers. She took a few steps to examine the bathroom more detailed, finding a robe and a pair of pants scattered around the floor.
In a sudden moment, the bathroom door flung open which startled Lucy, and she saw a man rush in. He looked familiar to her, but he didn't seem to notice her at all.
"Miles...? Miles Kane??" Lucy asked in a shocked state.
"Fuckin' hell.. where is it??" Miles looked frantically underneath the sink, as if he's desperately looking for something.
Lucy took a step back but then she noticed her whole body was translucent, meaning Miles didn't see her at all. "W-What are you looking for?? Maybe I can help.."
Miles growled and felt his heart thumping as if it was about to jump out of his ribcage. "Come on yeh bloody.. why did it have to be me out of all people???"
Lucy looked under the sink and found a drawer full of empty vials, they looked very familiar to her.
And then it clicked.
The tranquilizer.
Miles found the same drawer that caught Lucy's attention and started rummaging through it, finding one last vial of it. The took the injector gun out of his back pocket, before with trembling hands, putting the vial in.
This didn't explain anything, but only made Lucy all the more confused.
Miles injected the liquid into his body, his muscles relaxing, feeling even for a short amount of time, calm. At least before he came."You know that too much of it won't be any good for you too, right?"
Lucy looked up and suddenly saw David standing at the doorframe. What was he doing here, out of all people?
Miles leaned himself at the sink and huffed. "Fuck you, that's what. You won't get away with this.."
David smirked. "Oh, but I already have. I got everything I want from you, that's why I don't really need you anymore. Besides, it doesn't look like The Last Shadow Puppets will ever release a third album."
Lucy gulped, completely not comprehending the situation right now.
Miles, even tho he was under the tranquilizer, he still was fueled with rage after what David had done to him.
It wasn't even clear if that was good or bad.All of a sudden, Miles' heart abruptly stopped beating.
It struck him like a lightning, there seemed to be too much of the tranquilizer in his bloodstream the body couldn't take it anymore. His body collapsed, falling to the ground, lifeless.
Lucy gasped and teared up. Right in front of her, Miles just died.
He just...died. It felt all so overwhelming for her, it was someone she didn't know personally, but still, an important person just passed.
And if things didn't seem to get any worse, she could literally feel David's eyes on her. She looked up, her eyes instantly locking with David's.
"Don't think I can't see you."
Lucy tried to conjure up even a single word, but it just didn't work. To her, it felt like she was getting sucked into a black hole, everything around her dissolving into darkness.
A bright light hit her face directly, forcing her to open her eyes. Looking around, she realized she was back in her room. Did she just dream all of that? Or so, she thought.
She set her book which lay on her chest on the night stand, then noticing a note laying on, which never was there before. She took it in her hands, opened it and read its contents."Lucy, be careful of whom you trust.
