Kaeya walked through the door again the bell jingling as he entered, "Finnaly up lazybones?" Sucorse asked, she was Kaeya work partner and the girl he did every shift with. People always said they'd end up as couple but they never acknowledged that Kaeya was gay and Sucrose was omni with a lean to girls.
"Shut up, i need my beauty sleep," Kaeya sighed dumping his bag in the back,
"Damn mr prince needs his beauty sleep, we must not interrupt it 🥺" Sucrose teased, "Anyways your waitress today," Sucrose sighed flicking on the lights at the front of the shop,
"Why me?"
"Because i've been waitress the past 3 days,"
"Fine."
"First costumers prince kaeya!!" Sucrose called as the bell jingled
"Will you shut up?"
"Never."
"Hello what can i get for you?" Kaeya said as he went to the costumers table. A boy with long blonde hair and a boy with short green/black hair [xiao and aether]
"Uhh, i think we'll have a coffee and," the boy with the blonde hair prompted the other guy to speak with a nod, while the boy was thinking kaeya was writing down the other guys order. "I think i'll have the latte,"
"Okay i'll be right around with your orders," Kaeya said walking away.
"Sucroseeeee,"
"What?"
"I need a large coffee and latte,"
"On it," Sucrose sighed. The coffee machine started making it's strange snake rattle noise that it makes every time it makes a coffee. "Ugh jean really needs to fix the damn thing," Sucrose said disgusted as she wiped up some coffee that spilled out of the machine.
"Thats why you pick waitress," remarked Kaeya.
Kaeya walked over to the boys table near the edge of the coffee shop trying hard not to spill the overfull coffee cups. "Here's your coffee's!" Kaeya said handing both the boys their coffee's careful not to spill them.
"Thankyou," both the boys said smiling, Kaeya smiled back and then left.
"Ughhhh, Sucrose i'm bored,"
"Then get your self a life and don't sit in a coffee shop this summer break," Sucrose said taking some biscuits out of the oven.
"You need a life too," responded Kaeya.
"At least i do my job," Sucrose sighed. "Also i'm pretty sure half to reason you started this job is because you wanted to find some cute boy come here that is single," Sucrose added.
"Ugh screw talking to you give me costumers," Kaeya groaned. As if god was listening the jingle of the bell on the door went off. "Speak of the devil," Sucrose sighed and went back to putting her biscuits in the display case.
"Hello, welcome, what would you like to order?" Kaeya asked going to the customer's table. A female with long purple hair up in pigtails [keqing].
"I'll have a coffee, lactose free please," she ordered.
"Okay coming right up!" Kaeya exclaimed.
"Any single cute boys?" Sucrose asked handing him the coffee
"Just a girl"
"Sucrose: 68 Kaeya: 0" she said marking it down on the notice board [stranger things imo it's 12pm and I'm planning to cosplay so shush].
"Here's your order!" Kaeya chimed coming around
"Thank you :)" the girl said taking the latte carefully and going back to her laptop.
*few hours later aprox 11am?*
"Sucrose guess what," Kaeya said peeking at the incoming customer coming into the shop,
"Wtf do you want?" Sucrose asked preparing an order.
"I've found a cute boy,"
"No way!!"
"Yes way"
Sucrose rolled her eyes and went up to were he was.
"Okay you go give this to the gay starcrossed lovers," Sucrose said her glance going toward a blonde boy and another with blue hair [ayato and thoma]. "Then go talk to cute boy over there, ol' Sucrose might just give you a point,"
Kaeya walked over to the table of the "starcrossed lovers" table placed their coffee down and made a beline for the blonde boys table. He wore his hair in a half up half down style his hair just touching his shoulders. He had azure eyes the glanced around looking for... him. He was the waiter, not the dumb person standing in the middle of the shop admiring him from afar.
"Hello!" Kaeya said walking up to the boys table. He saw Sucrose pull a stupid face doing thumbs up. She was gonna watch him fail horribly at flirting. Fantastic.
"Hello," the boy said quietly not looking up from his textbooks.
"So any more company or would you just like to order now?" Kaeya asked.
"Oh, just me," the boy mumbled,
"Such a same, a pretty boy like you shouldn't be sitting alone," Kaeya teased with a wink. The boys face looked up quickly flushing a little around the cheeks. Kaeya felt like slapping himself internally. Deep breaths play it cool, you've already got yourself into the rabbit hole-
"Caramel latte please," the boy muttered. Well shit. He might be straight. He dressed very gay but okay, mistake. People make mistakes. He saw sucrose slowly adding a point onto her side, 71.
"Okay coming up," Kaeya sighed, just as he started leaving he heard the boys voice,
"You're right i shouldn't be sitting alone, 0827 433 937,"
"I'm sorry?"
"My phone number," the boy slipped a piece of paper with the numbers on it.
Kaeya walked i to the back with a smile. "Rub the mark off Sucrose!" He exclaimed
"Wow, your a try hard," she sighed
"But i did it,"
"Yes, yes you did."
"Dammit,"
"What is it?"
"I never got his name."
Sorry about any mistakes!! I've made all the pieces late at night and honestly editing sucks. Hopefully the next part will be longer but as of right now i just wanted to introduce the main characters! ~sincerely the author <333
