"H-Hyung, no.. Please don't do this..."
Jaehyun felt even more distressed when Donghyuck referred to him as his elder as well, but that also made him want to sacrifice himself more.
"Please don't make this harder than this has to be Donghyuck"
"Hyung, I won't let you go through with this. Don't put yourself at risk just for us..."
Jaehyun saw when three of the four hunters looked like they were ready to attack them at any moment, and he knew he had to do something before they did something to Donghyuck too.
"...Listen carefully Donghyuck. I know you don't want me to do this, but I have to do what's best for all of you, especially in this very moment. Mark and Jungwoo are the main ones at risk right now, and you will be too if I don't do this. Once we're gone, I want you to get them home and get the others to heal them. I'm counting on you to save them after I save you"
"H-Hyung..."
"It's alright Hyuck. I'll be fine, trust me"
Jaehyun brought him into a hug as a final attempt to reassure him, and he began to cry again as he held the taller tightly.
'I don't know what they're going to do to me or where they're going to take me once they have me, but I'll try to reserve as much power as possible so that you can find me later. Tell the others everything, and don't worry too much, alright?'
Jaehyun telepathically warned his friend as he held him tightly, filling Donghyuck with a sudden sense of hope.
'Ok.. I won't let you down hyung..'
'You're a very reliable guy Hyuck. I know you won't'
Jaehyun eventually let go of his friend and gave him a small smile before he walked past him to turn himself over to the hunters.
"Glad you chose the easy route. Come with us"
The leader of the group instructed Jaehyun after putting silver handcuffs on him. The touch of the silver burned him, but he didn't let that show in his expression for Donghyuck's sake. The group led him away from the trail they were on and far off to where their vehicle was parked before driving off. Once Donghyuck was sure that no other attacks were coming in, he began to panic again as he tried to think of what he should do.
He knew that giving both Jungwoo and Mark his blood would drain him drastically, and he knew that there was nobody around for him to feed from once they were healed. He wasn't even sure of where he was, and became skeptical of calling one of his other friends for help in order to keep them safe from other hunters. He also knew that he would have a hard time carrying both of his injured friends back to the city, and even if he did, they would be at risk of being caught by other hunters.
He only began to panic more once he heard footsteps coming from behind the tree they hung out under, and knelt down in front of his friends in an attempt to protect them. He saw two people come out from beyond the tree, but once he saw that they too had weapons, he activated his odikinesis to cause his fear to increase his physical power, as well as his now activated power over poison.
However, he became confused once they suddenly made gestures for him to stay quiet and to calm down. He was still on his guard when they surveyed the area to see if anyone else was around, and was prepared to poison them if they attempted to attack once they started walking closer.
"Don't worry, we're here to help"
One of the two spoke, but Donghyuck didn't buy it and was determined to protect his friends.
"...No you're not"
"Believe me Donghyuck, we know how scared and stressed you must be right now. But we can help you and your friends get back to the city"
The other spoke up, immediately causing Donghyuck to worry even more.
"H-How do you know my name??"
"You may find this hard to believe, but we're some close friends of Yuta-hyung, Taeyong-hyung, and Johnny-hyung. My name is Kun, and this is one of my partners, Xiaojun"
The first of the two introduced them, and Donghyuck finally let his guard down once he said three of his friends' names without hesitation.
"Are you both..?"
"Yes we're hunters. But we're members of one of the few guilds of good hunters. We're some of the few that actually follow the laws set for humans and vampires to live together, and we do what we can to protect them. We wanted very much to help you, Mark, Jungwoo, and Jaehyun once we saw that you were ambushed, but being that we're the only good hunter guild around with only seven members, we had to assess the situation first before jumping in to help"
Kun explained.
"Are your other members here with you?"
"Unfortunately no. Only three of us were out on a patrol tonight, being me, Xiaojun, and our friend Hendery. He stayed back not too far away to watch our truck"
"...If you really mean what you say, can you please help me get Mark-hyung and Jungwoo-hyung home? I won't be able to do this on my own..."
"We'll be honored to. We'll even help you get Jaehyun back. Knowing them, they're not going to keep their word to leave you guys alone"
Xiaojun sighed, carefully wrapping Jungwoo's head before calling Hendery to bring their truck to them.
"I figured as much.. But what do you think they'll do with him..?"
