~Lacey is dreaming~
I'm in a crowded house, it looks like a party. I can hardly breathe and I'm almost glad I can't, because everyone is packed together jumping to the music. I'm getting shoved back and forth between people I've never even seen before.
'This really is too much,' I think as I weave around the strangers and into a little less crowded area, it looks like a dining room. People are playing beer pong on the dining table, and there's a brawl going on in the back corner. I finally look up where I see a comforting sight, a tall, blonde boy with soft, energetic blue eyes. His hair was set in a perfect quiff, and he was leaning against the wall, his teeth playing with a discrete lip ring.
"Keylo..." I whisper.
Keylo only looked back at me, straight into my eyes and tilted his head, smirking slightly. That was one of my favorite things he did, it made him look so vulnerable.
I laughed, walking towards him. He startled me when he backed away, walking down a hall to his right, suddenly looking scared.
I follow him down the hall, and freeze. It looks just like the hall in his house, and he slipped into the second door on the left; his room.
I feel a sudden rush of anxiety flow over me, suddenly forcing my legs to stride forward.
I start to turn the knob on his door, when I hear a strange noise.
It almost sounded like someone was getting slammed into a wall?
I peek my head in, swallowing the gasp that threatened to escape.
There was Keylo, pressed against the wall, Ryan leaning against him, whispering in his ear.
I start to walk in, feeling the need to save Keylo. But I see the strangest of things, shocking me enough to make me shy back.
Keylo was smiling at whatever Ryan just said, turning his head to taste Ryan's lips. And the strangest of it all was that Ryan kissed him back.
I shrieked as I was pulled back and slammed into the wall behind me. "What the hell-" I start, falling silent when I look into the prettiest blue eyes I've ever seen. They looked almost familiar....
The boy harshly pressed his lips against mine, and in that moment I knew who it was.
"LUKE! Leave me the hell alone!" I scream.
"I promised I would protect you, I honestly didn't do anything, it was all her," he said, fear exploding in his eyes.
My ears perk at the sound of a gun being cocked back.
Luke tried to hold me back, grunting at the difficulty, telling me he needs to protect me. But I was able to shove him off me, in time to poke my head into Keylo's room again.
Not bothering to stay quiet this time, I screamed at Ryan.
"Ryan!! Stop! Don't you dare do it! Please! Keylo move!!"
My heart raced as I took in the scene that was contridicting to the one I saw moments ago: Keylo stayed here he was, but this time his hands where behind him and his head hung low, almost like he was ashamed, but he was smiling. Ryan stood a few feet away from him, saying something I couldn't understand, smiling just as big as Keylo. In his hand was the gun I heard be loaded, the one Keylo had in his hand the night he died.
Then Ryan looked at me and said, "You need to trust Luke." I was terrified at the fact that when he spoke, he used Luke's voice.
I screamed when Ryan pulled the trigger, sending Keylo into a blood coated heap on the ground. I screamed, crying for my best friend.
I looked behind me, not understanding why I wanted to be in Luke's arms so badly.
"Luke! LUKE! LUCAS!!!!!!"
I heard a distant voice shout my name, a sudden wave of confusion drowning me.
~~~
I was being shaken awake, not understanding why. And what I really didn't understand is how the person waking me got into my house.
"Lacey, beautiful girl, Lacey, it's okay," the voice cooed, I knew the voice, and I knew the body that was next to mine. His arms were wrapped around me, I glance down and realize how close we are, then my mind remembers what happened last night.
He shouted in surprise as I shoved him off my bed yelling at him, "HOW COULD YOU HURT ME LIKE THAT?!?!!! YOU PROMISED LUKE!"
"Please let me explain," Luke looked sincere, but I didn't care, I know what I saw.
"You kissed Brittney. You kissed my bully."
"Lace-"
"GET OUT! JUST LEAVE!!!!!! I shouldn't have trusted you..." I whispered the last part. I couldn't believe the words just left my mouth.
"Lacey, listen to me," he whispered, he really did look scared at what I just said.
"I didn't kiss her. She tried drugging me when I got there. I got there right after um....the, uh, the incident. And she dragged me into the kitchen and shoved this drug that screws with your head into my mouth. I tried spitting it out but it still effected me. My vision was blurry and my head ached like hell. I told her to get off and she was dropping her act until you walked in and she slammed her mouth against mine- it was quite painful I might add- and as I saw you walk out, everything clicked. I threatened Brittney and choked Ryan and knocked out Kaleb and Jordan. Then I came here and explained everything to your mom. She believes me, do you?" Luke finished, pleading at the end.
I seriously could not take it. I looked at him as if he had three heads and broke down in tears.
"I was scared Luke. I had a dream about Keylo..." I weeped, shaking at the thought of that dream. I look up at the pictures of us two on my headboard.
"Baby girl, look at me," Luke whispered.
I wiped my already tear stained eyes, and looked into his gorgeous eyes.
"You are my life Lacey. I will love you until the day I die, and Keylo, he loves you, he's okay now. I love you so much Lacey. I will defend you if my life depends on it, I promise you that." I had stopped crying to listen to him.
I nodded and smiled. He did the same and said, "Let's just watch a movie okay?"
"Okay," I chuckled, making the bed comfortable for a movie as he picked a movie to watch and slipped Limitless into my television. He turned around and laughed. I looked at him confused and he answered, "you look adorable in your penguin sweater with your penguin pillow pet."
I blushed and patted the bed next to me, eager to watch the movie. We cuddled and when the movie was finished, we watched random stuff on Netflix. My mom came in and checked on us a few times, beaming at the fact that we made up and fed us whenever necessary. The day was amazing.
