TW: Attempted S/A
________Alice POV_________
I'm slamned against the wall before I drop to the ground for the millionth time. My kidnappers take pleasure in beating me until I'm unconscious and then continue when I wake up. They took me out of the room that Zhen was being held in and placed me into the room next to it.
Both of the men who kidnapped me watched me as I struggled to stand. The one called Jay wore a greasy muscle shirt and held a cigarette between his lips as he glared. He roughly grabbed my arm, wrenching me to my feet when I took too long. I clawed at his face with my hands tied together, leaving two long scratches on his cheek. For a moment, I smile victorious from this small rebellious act.
"Stupid fuck," I spit out blood from my mouth on to Jay's face.
In a flash, I'm backhanded with enough force to throw me back into the wall and slam my head in the process. Stars danced in my eyes blinked rapidly, as I tried to shake them.
"Stupid bitch." I hear him mutter as he tied my hands behind my back again and they left the room.
It was not until the sound of their retreating footsteps followed by the the door closing that I relaxed. I couldn't take it anymore, my body is wrecked as well as my mental state.
There are no windows in this stupid room, so it was extremely hard to keep track of how long I've been in here. I did however catch the time on the other kidnapper's watch when he slapped me.
From what I can tell it was either midnight or the afternoon. I also guess that it's been two or three days that Zhen and I have been abducted. It feels like a lifetime being held prisoner. From the otherside of the wall that separated Zhen and I-I heard a knock. This was how we communicated, making sure we were both alive.
On my hands and knees I crawl over to the wall knocking two times. I can hear his voice that was muffled by the wall.
"You alive?"
"I'm okay." My throat is raspy from the lack of water Jay and Simon provided me with.
"Try not to die. they're not like Toma. They will kill you." I manage to hear Zhen say.
At the mention of Matsuo, I sigh, resting my head back against the wall. I sit with my legs crossed on the floor, hugging myself for warmth. My clothes were tattered, stained with blood, and I was missing my shoes. Nothing I wore retained any heat to protect me from the bitter cold of this room.
Zhen still didn't tell me who kidnapped us, but I didn't care anymore. I didn't even bother to ask again after my forth beating. Zhen and I became very familiar with each others cries of pain, then checked it other to make sure the other was still alive. I do not think that it was a concern that led me to do this but the fear of dying alone. I'm almost breaking at the seams, ready to disappear completely. It seemed like there was no hope left. There was no leaving this place. As if no one was coming to save us.
I'll have to save myself then, when and if that moment comes, I'll need to take that chance or die trying. I didn't make it this far to quit even if every intrusive thought is telling me to.
"Cop, you still there?"
Zhen called out from the other side of the wall again. His voice sounds exhausted and rough from all of the beatings.
"Yeah, for now." I manage to raise myself into a seated position against a wall.
"For a second, I thought they killed ya."
I laugh for a second even though it hurt, "No. You still have your chance."
A weak chuckle came from him before a fit of coughs erupted from his side of the wall. We're in pretty bad shape, and the odds are slimming that we escape, but not completely gone.
