Hailey giving birth

8 ½ months later Hailey and Jay are cuddling in bed watching home alone 1 and they are eating chick fil a. They end up falling asleep and the next morning when they wake up they hear knocking on the door. They totally forgot that today was their baby shower and they slept in until 11am and the party was at 12 they only had an hour to get ready. Jay and Hailey decide to go with a basic Bambi party and make a bet game.

At the party Trudy and Kevin are finishing decorating when Hailey and Jay arrive at Kim's house. Jay goes and talks to the guys and grabs a beer while Hailey goes and talks to the girls and grabs a water. After around two hours of talking and playing beer pong . Jay and Hailey take a seat and start opening gifts . They open Kim's present and they pull out socks ,headbands ,bows and matching outfits. Then they opened Kevin's gift. It had a lot of toys and a lot of pacifiers. Adam's gift was a onesie that says "I'm here for the boobies' ' with a ghost on it . Everyone starts laughing. Vannesa's got them a onesie that says "who needs superheroes when I have dad?" She also brought them 3 boxes of diapers. Trudy brought them a cup that says "police mom" and another one that says "police dad" she also brought them a Minnie mouse bouncer. Stella and Kelly give them a sunshade for the backseat so the sun wouldn't get in Amelia's eyes and they also get them Boppy pillow . When they got home and were pulling into the driveway they noticed a big box on the porch. So Jay got out and was like "what is this ?" " it could be the crib, remember we did order it 2 weeks ago" " oh yea sorry I forgot we have had so much stuff going on lately" "Your fine " Jay carries the crib all the way to the nursery . Hailey goes downstairs to start cooking Greek Salad and spanakopita . Meanwhile Jay is upstairs shirtless trying to put the crib together 30 minutes later the crib is finally together and Jay hears Hailey screams and Jay literally runs down the stairs so fast that he almost falls down them when he gets downstairs he sees Hailey leaning on the counter and can barely move . " baby what's going on are you okay?" Jay said so scared "no babe I'm having bad contractions Jay sprints upstairs and just throws clothes in a hospital bag and other stuff and sprints back downstairs and they head to the hospital. When they arrive at the hospital Jay calls the whole team and tells them that they are in the hospital. Then Will comes out and tells Jay to go home and finish packing the hospital bag and to install the car seat and switch out the cars. When he gets home he packs his and Hailey's 4th of July outfits and Amelia's little 4th of July outfit then he puts in Hailey's and his toiletries and pjs and then heads out the door while he grabs the car seat that is still in the box when he gets out to Hailey's car it takes him 3 minutes to install the car seat then he heads back to the hospital when he arrives he sees the whole unit. He goes back into Hailey's room then he asks her " are we having her today ?" " they said either today or tomorrow she will be here " " so July 3rd 2023 or July 4th 2023 ?" " Yes Jay " . When Natalie walks in she says "we are going to move you upstairs so it's more comfortable and there's actually a pull out bed for you Jay" when they get up there Hailey is dilated to 6 cm at 11am and by the time it was 1pm Hailey was already 12cm and Natalie said "it's time to have a baby " "can I get the epidural please " " of course you can" " okay Jay I need you to go up by Hailey and hold her and and try to keep her calm "okay I can do that'' nurse Doris came in and after 4 hours. At 5:30pm Amelia Rosa Halstead was born Jay was able to cut the umbilical cord and when Hailey got to hold Amelia her and Jay couldn't believe that they actually are parents now.

Hailey got to hold Amelia first while Jay was texting the unit telling them that a little baby was born, they haven't even told the team little ones name. They were going to reveal it tomorrow but they decided to reveal it today since she decided to make her appearance to earth today. 10 minutes later Hailey handed Amelia to Jay

5 minutes later Natalie walks in and Jay asks Natalie " hey Natalie could you please get a picture of me ,Hailey and Amelia?" "Of course I can" Natalie answered

" guys I have some good news you guys will be discharged tomorrow at 10am " "ok thanks ". It is now 9pm and they are inviting the unit one by one to meet her and Kim was the last one and then Jay went out to the waiting room to grab the rest of them and now they are revealing the baby name to the unit by showing them a picture of her name sign in the nursery

When everyone in the unit lefted it was around midnight and they had just gotten Amelia down and they both fell asleep .Less than 2 hour later Amelia was crying so Jay woke up and walked her around until she woke Hailey up than Hailey feed her and fell back to sleep and about 20 minutes later Amelia had fell asleep on Jay's bare chest. The next morning they woke up around 730 am and Amelia was awake and eating " Hailey wanna order some breakfast from room service?" " sure" " ok I will call down there for a waffle and a French toast and 2 coffees" " okay let me know how long until they get here" "ok ". 10 minutes later there was a knock on the door and Jay opened it and it was room service. "Thanks" Jay handed Hailey her waffles and coffee and Hailey handed Jay Amelia " babe can you hold her while we eat?" " Yes of course , but do I have to put a shirt on?" " No babe I like you eating shirtless especially when you have Amelia in your hands" while they finish eating Amelia falls asleep on Jay's shoulder and he's patting her back gently. At 11:45 they got Amelia ready in her going home outfit. It's a red white and blue since it's the fourth of July. At 11:55 they leave and Natalie is pushing Hailey out to the car and this is her view

Jay clicks Amelia's car seat into the base and helps Hailey into the backseat with Amelia and hops in the front seat and they are on their way home as parents.
