〰Bruce's POV ⁠〰⁠ 

I was woken up by the loud alarm. I groaned and turned it off. It felt like I had only been sleeping for 30 minutes but I guess not..
My mom yelled for me to get ready from downstairs, I got up and looked in my closet for something to wear. I found something, it was jeans with a striped shirt. I got my bag and went downstairs.
My mother greeted me when she was me and I smiled at her. "Hey honey! How did you sleep?" She asks. "Good. I have to go." I said quickly as I walked down my stairs, almost tripping over my own feet. "Have a good day!" My mom yelled as I was leaving. I got on my bike and rode to school, I lived close by so it wasn't much of a problem.

〰⁠ Vance POV ⁠〰⁠ 

I got up later than usual and just grabbed something to wear and put it on quickly. I grabbed my bag and snuck passed my parents who were arguing, and throwing stuff at each other. It was 7 in the morning, why now, I thought to myself.
I walked to school and I heard yelling in the distance, it was giving me a headache. "Fight! Fight! Fight!" The crowd yelled. I went to go see what the commotion was and I saw a boy with brown hair and a bandana. Which I was guessing was Robin, we have been friends for a while now. He was winning so I guess that was good. I chose to just walk off since I couldn't take the loud noises at this early in the morning.
I noticed Bruce walking in the school and I rolled my eyes. How can someone be so happy. He has a wonderful family and I don't? Why? I thought as I pulled out a cigarette and the bell rang. I was skipping first period since I didn't want to learn about whatever they were teaching in Science, so I just walked through the hallway bored. I had blinked and suddenly something hit me.

〰⁠ Bruce POV 〰

I was going to fast I hadn't noticed I had ran into someone, and not to mention who. "I am so sorry!!" I repeated multiple times as I was picking up my stuff. I looked up and noticed Vance Hopper. He was glaring at me and I froze.
"I am so sorry! I didn't know it was you! It was an accident!" I said quickly and I was shocked when I saw him, helping me? And I know that other people were surprised as well. "There, now go away before I beat the shit out of you." Vance says and I ran off.
