Sam, Dean, and Daphne are at a motel and Dean is on the phone while Sam is unpacking and Daphne is sitting on the couch.
"Yeah. No, we just got in. Mm-hmm." Dean tells Cas. He takes the phone away from his ear. "What are you doing? Don't unpack." He tells Sam.
"Dude, we could be here for days." Sam says.
"No. No. Hey, hell, no." Dean objects. "Hey-- no, not you." He tells Cas. "That's... just call us when you get to Amarillo, all right?" Dean hangs up. "All right, look, Rowena's spell said that Gabriel would be here."
"Yeah, here or in Texas." Sam says.
"Yeah, she tracked his essence -- which, gross -- to both places. So, Cas is gonna hit up the Lone Star State in a few hours and we will check this place out." Dean says.
"Okay. And that could take some time." Sam says.
"Which we don't have." Dean says as Sam sits on one of the beds. "Look, I know you know that we've been following leads for the past two weeks. We have nothing to show for it. Meanwhile, Billy, mom, Jack, they could be hurt. Or worse."
Daphne tenses up at the possibility of her brother dead.
"And we're stuck here in this stupid motel room..." Dean kicks the bed his brother is sitting on, "doing..." The bed starts vibrating making Sam jump off it. Dean kicks the bed again making the vibrating stop.
"Bonus." Dean says and Sam gives him a look.
"Okay, definitely not sharing a bed with you." Daphne says.
"Looking for some runaway, dumbass archangel who doesn't wanna be found." Dean finishes his statement.
"You realize if he doesn't wanna be found, given he's an archangel, he probably won't be found." Daphne comments.
"Yes, I know the possibility of that happening, Daph. Thank you." Dean rolls his eyes.
There's a knock on the door making both brothers pull their guns out. Dean aims his gun at the door and Sam opens it to reveal an injured Gabriel.
"Hey, fellas. Looking for me?" Gabriel asks.
~ ~ ~
Sam patched Gabriel up who is now sitting on the couch while Dean stands off to the side and Daphne is sitting on the kitchenette counter.
"All right, this is gonna hurt a little bit." Sam warns the archangel while placing gauze over his wound.
"A little?" Gabriel asks in a strained voice before groaning in pain.
"How'd you know we were here?" Dean asks.
"Come on. I felt your witch's tracking spell the second she laid it on me. Tasted like haggis." Gabriel says.
"So now you're in trouble?" Sam asks.
"What gave you that idea?" Gabriel asks.
"The blood." Daphne comments like it's obvious.
"You show up on our doorstep bleeding like a stuck pig." Dean says.
"This?" Gabriel motions to his side. "Eh, you know, you... roll into town for a little R&R, stumble into the wrong poker game, take a guy's money, his wife... things get messy.
"You're trying to tell us you came here for R&R?" Sam asks.
"Yeah, this isn't exactly the Riviera." Dean says.
"I know, right? Huh. Yeah, so, anyway, um... I don't suppose you guys have any more of my grace laying around, right?" Gabriel asks. "Cause, uh, the tank's a little low."
"Oh, did you drain it killing Asmodeus?" Sam asks.
"And ditching you. It'll recharge. Eventually. But, uh, until then..." Gabriel trails off.
"Whatever we didn't use on you, we used to open up a rift." Dean states.
"Cool. Superdupes. Okay. Well, uh, in that case, gentlemen, lady, I must bid you a fond adi-- ohh!" Gabriel groans in pain after he tries to get up. "Yeah, nope. Maybe after a... little siesta. Whoa." He lays down on the couch. "Aw, crap."
~ ~ ~
"Until his grace levels come back up, I-I just... I don't get it." Sam whispers, him and Dean sitting at the table. Gabriel is asleep on the couch while Daphne is still sitting on the counter with her legs criss-crossed.
"Yeah, well, right now, don't care. He's here and we're gonna keep him here." Dean says.
"Where?! Where am I?" Gabriel shoots awake. He spots the three hunters. "Oh, right. You."
"Good to see you, too." Daphne remarks sarcastically.
"Gabriel, look, we don't really know what's going on here--"
"We need your help." Dean says, cutting his brother off.
"Uh... yeah, not a big joiner." Gabriel says.
"Oh, so you got better things to do than save the world?" Dean asks.
"Exactly. Look, this has been... great, a real thrill. But, uh, I just came here for the silver stuff. And since you three are all fresh out, it's time for me to say sayonara." Gabriel says, getting his coat and suitcase.
The door busts open and two men walk in.
"Raspberries." Gabriel sighs.
"We're here for the angel." The taller man says, the two walking in. His face glows showing some sort of skeleton outline while the other guy shows a horse.
"The hell are you guys?" Dean asks. "The hell are these guys?" He asks Gabriel.
"Oh, just a couple of Norse demigods." Gabriel says.
"Demigods?!" Sam asks.
The two attack the brothers while Gabriel heads for the bathroom. Daphne quickly follows the archangel, hiding with him.
"Why are you hiding?" Gabriel asks.
"Cause they're demigods and I'm not suicidal." Daphne says.
"Gabriel, Daph, a little help in here!" They hear Dean yell.
"Not it." Daphne says.
"It doesn't work like that." Gabriel hisses.
"Yes, it does." Daphne hisses back. "Not it." She says again and Gabriel rolls his eyes.
Gabriel rushes out and kills guy who had Sam in a headlock. The other guy runs out of the room.
"You okay?" Dean asks Gabriel who is bending over in pain.
"Uh, yeah." Gabriel answers. "I'll go after him in a sec. I just... need a minute."
"Wrong." Dean takes out handcuffs. "You're not goin' anywhere."

Sam and Dean get back to the room where Daphne is sitting on one of the beds and Gabriel is handcuffed to a part of the room.
"You know, you guys are lucky I'm low on juice, considering what I did to the last guy who locked me up." Gabriel says.
"You know what? We said we'd let you go, just as soon as you tell us what the hell is going on here." Sam says.
