Charles POV
Since the accident of Julie over a week have passed. Currently we are all in Great Britain for the GP. Julie is also here this time. She even got her room in the same hotel as us. Pierre doesn't want to leave her alone and alpha tauri accepted his wish to take his sister with us again. I mean how could they say no after what happend.
Since the night where Julie told me about the past and what she would change I haven been thinking a lot about me and her. I wish I would've told her that I was in love with her too.
She doesn't even know that I was in love with her too. I thought it was obvious but I guess not.
Of course my relationsship with Charlotte was beautiful but I wonder what would've happend if Julie and I would've just talked about it. Maybe we would be in a relationsship right now, maybe not. We'll never know.
It's tuesday and I promised Lando to come and see some of Birmingham. Julie wanted to join too but since she has crutches Lando and I said no but Julie overtalked us and now she's joining us.
It's early in the morning when we leave. We take Landos car and drive for a little more than an hour. Julie sleeps the whole drive and I look out of the window thinking about our situation again. It's just so difficult because I like Julie. I don't know if I'm still in love with her or in love with her again but I definitely feel something for her. Maybe just friendship maybe more but I have to figure that asap.
"Julie wake up. We're here", Lando says as parks into a parkingspot.
"Already?", she says sleepy.
"Yes"
I get out of the car and get Julies crutches out of the trunk before opening her door and handing them to her. We start walking around a little. Julie and Lando take their cameras out and take a lot of photos. Julie got her camera recently because Lando told her so. Now she also got her own account on instagram that is called @julie.jpg and she posts her photos there all the time.
Julie takes a photo of almost every building and tells me to stand in front of them and pose for her photo. Of course I do so and pose for her ig. As long as she's happy it isn't bothering me.
After some time Julie gets tired and we go into a restaurant since it's almost noon. We order some drinks and food. While eating the both show eachother and me the photos they made.
"God Charles you look so funny on this one", Julie says laughing and showing me a photo of me standing in front of a bulding as a bird approaches me and I look at him strangely.
"Yeah what did the pigeon do to you?", Lando says laughing too.
"Haha very funny", I say sarcastically but have to laugh to after I look at them.
I get why Lando and Julie are such good friends. Sometimes I think they are the same person but just one female and one male. They always understand eachother and are very understanding. I do think though that Julie is a little more mature but I would never tell Lando that.
We finis our food and continue our tour. We come across the Birmingham library and decide to go inside since Julie loves reading. Lando and I sit down at a table while Julie wanders around searching for books.
Julie POV
The library is awesome. Since I've been little I loved to go to the library. I'm also a big fan of reading. I've read so many books in my life. The last few years though I stopped because I didn't have enough time for everything. When I was younger I also loved to write my own storys. I don't think I'm a good writer but still love it. Maybe I should start writing again.
I take a look at almost every book in the shelfs. Even the history ones.
I'm looking at one when Charles comes: "Finally here you are. Lando and I are bored can we leave?", he asks.
"You just sounded like a little boy who's unpatiently waiting for his mother"
"Very funny Julie. But seriously we've been here for two hours already can we leave?"
"Two hours? Have I been looking at books that long?". I didn't realize how the time had passed.
"Yes you have. Now can we please leave?"
"Yes we can Charlie"
A relieved smile appears on his face as I say that and I put the book back at its place.
We search for Lando and then leave the library.
The rest of the day we just walk around a little looking at some things before heading back to the hotel. I immeadiately fall asleep again in the car.
Charles POV
"Julie we-", I wanted to tell her that we're here but she's sleeping again and since it's late I would feel bad for waking her up.
I get out of the car and gently lift her up while Lando gets the crutches out of the trunk. We get into the elevator and he smirks at me. I just roll my eyes and wait until the elevator opens again.
As it opens I step out and walk to my room. I have no clue where her keycard is and I don't have the motivation to search it so I'm just taking her to my room.
"Are you taking her to your room?", Lando asks whispering.
"Yes I have no clue where her keycard is and I'm definitely not searching it now. I'm taking her to my room for the night", I whisper back.
I open the door and say goodnight to lando before walking into my room and closing the door behind me. I lay Julie down on my bed and cover her with a blanket before I change my clothes and brush my teeth. After I lay down next to Julie and fall asleep too although it's a little difficult falling asleep next to the girl you don't know your feelings for.
Julie POV
I wake up and realize that this is not my room and not my bed. The last thing I remember is falling asleep in the car. I lift my head up and look around. My eyes stop as they see a handsome guy standing there dressing himself. Charles is just putting on his belt and doesn't have a shirt on.
"Good morning to you too Juliette", he says and chuckles. I must've been staring.
"Good morning handsome", I say.
"Handsome?", he asks questioninly.
"You are handsome I'm not gonna lie", I say and lay back down. I try to stay calm about what I just said but internally I'm dying.
"I have training in twenty minutes in the gym and have to leave so you'll be alone. You can go back to your room but you can also continue sleeping here I don't mind."
I nod and try to fall asleep again. I turn onto my belly and close my eyes.
"Okay see you Julie", he says and leaves. After the door closes I turn onto my back again and look at the ceiling.
My feelings for Charles kind of came back and I start to get nervouse around him again.
I decide to go to sleep again and don't think about that stuff anymore.
After some time I finally manage to fall asleep again.
Charles POV
On my way to the hotel gym I meet Carlos.
"Good morning mate. I heard you had a guest this night", Carlos says.
"What?", I ask. Of course I know he's talking about Julie but I don't want to be obvious.
"Lando told me that Julie slept in your room. Now tell me, what's going on between you and mini Pierre?"
"Firstly, don't call her mini Pierre that's wierd. And secondly, we're just friends.", I say and avoid eye contact.
"Aha so you don't like her more than a friend?", he asks. I remain silent.
"I knew it! You like her. Ask her out mate", he says grinning.
"No it's a little complicated. I can't ask her out just yet"
"Does she have a boyfriend?", he asks and I look at him questioningly.
"No?", I answer.
"And do you have a girlfriend?"
"No?"
"So where's the problem?"
"It's a little more complicated okay? I told you about that stuff where she told me she loved me and then just left for two years", I say and look at him now.
"And? God Charles mature. That was more than two years ago when you and her were in a relationsship and you had now clue how to handle it. You're 24 years old now and single and so is she and if you like her you should ask her out. Don't think too much just do it. You'll never know if you never try."
"You're right but I need some time to figure out my feelings first"
"Okay if you say so.", he says and we keep walking.
Maybe he's right. This is my chance to admit my real feelings for Julie and I shouldn't think too much. But I need some time first.
The exercise was hard. I walk back to my room and open the door only to find a sleeping Julie in my bed. A slight smile appears on my face. I'm sweaty so I go to the shower. Quickly I wash my hair and my body before wrapping myself in a towel and walking out of the bathroom again because my clothes are in front of the bed.
I'm just about to get my clothes out of my suitcase when Julie starts moving. She lifts her head and starts looking at me again.
"Good morning Juliette. Again", I say and chuckle.
"God I have to stop staring", she says and turns on her belly. I laugh and continue searching a good outfit for today.
"Get up Julie we have to go to the circuit today", I say.
"No you have to. I don't"
"Come on. Don't be a smart ass", I say and throw a shirt at her.
"Okay okay I'm getting ready don't worry", she says and gets up.
"I'm coming over in thirty minutes. Be ready", I say as she is about to leave the room.
"Yes Charlie"
She closes the door behind her and silence floods the room. It feels kind of empty without her if I'm honest.
I put on my clothes and wait in my room till it's time to get Julie. I walk over to her room and knock on the door. She opens the door wearing a short yellow summer dress.
"Do you like it?", she asks.
"Yes uhm- it looks perfect", I say stuttering a little.
We leave the hotel and go to the track together. As we enter some photographers take pictures of us. We walk into the ferrari garage where they need me.
"I'm sorry but we have to do some work on the car now and everything if that's okay. You can walk around a little or something. I'll call you when we're finished is that okay?", I say.
"Yes sure see you", she says and walks away while I start working.
Julie POV
I'm just walking out of the garage when I bump into Mario once again.
"Hey Julie. I heard what happend are you okay?", he asks.
"Yes everything's alright", I answer smiling.
There's a moment of smiling before he asks me: "I was wondering if you would still go on a date with me or not?"
"When?"
"I don't know maybe tonight?"
"Yes sure. For dinner?"
"Yes dinner. I take you out for a fancy dinner if you want to"
"I would love to"
We quickly exchange numbers before he has to leave.
"Okay I'll pick you up at seven. Text me your adress alright?"
"Sure. See you Mario"
"See you Juliette"
I watch him as he leaves and disappears in the ferrari garage.
I can't wait for the dinner tonight. I would love to get to know Mario a little better. On the other side though I feel a little bad for Charles. I have feelings for him and go on another date with another man. As I'm walking around a little I also meet my brother.
"How do you feel?", he asks me.
"No vomiting anymore?", he asks.
"Nope"
"Good to hear. And does it still hurt?"
"Yes my foot hurts really bad but the rest is okay"
"Alright. I'm sorry I'll have to leave I have an interview in a few minutes but we can go out for dinner if you want", he asks.
"Oh I'm going on a date tonight"
"With who?". Oh no the overprotective brother.
"An engeneer of ferrari. His name is Mario. He's a very nice guy"
"Okay but look after yourself and nothing stupid alright?", he says.
"Yes Pierre"
He gives me the 'I know you're lying' look before giving me a hug and walking away.
Charles POV
I called Julie two times now but she doesn't answer. I'm currently searching for her when I meet Pierre.
"Hey have you seen Julie?"
"Yes I did. But I don't know where she's now"
"Mate I'm searching for her everywhere", I say.
"Don't worry. Let's eat lunch maybe she's in the cafeteria or something", he says and starts walking.
"Yes you're right". I catch up with him and we walk to the cafeteria now.
"Did you know that she's having a date this evening?"
"A date? With who?", I ask him. This catches me a little off guard. I thought everything was good between Julie and me and that she likes me too but I guess not.
"Some Mario guy"
"The one from ferrari?", I ask
"Yes she said something about that", he says. He puts his right hand on my shoulder and says: "I'm sorry man"
"Why are you sorry?"
"Because I know you like her. It can't be easy hearing that the girl you like goes onto a date with another guy"
I just remain silert. It hurts hearing that she's going on a date with him and not with me. I don't even have the strength to deny my feelings for her.
"You know what? I'm going to my drivers room I don't feel very good", I say and stand still.
"Okay call me if you need anything", Pierre says.
"Sure. I will. See you Pierre", I say turn around and walk away. I put my hands into my pockets and start walking back still thinking about Julie and this guy. Never would've I thought this would hurt this much. We're not even together and I'm not even sure about my feelings but my heart hurts if I only hear about it. Julie hasn't even told me herself yet but I need my space now.
I want to be alone.
