It's not this specific tweet but I've seen a lot of upset ppl bc of the genre she chose for this album
I think it's mainly coming from the Swifties that joined during folkmore era, like they need to stfu cause that was not her main sound. And she was literally scared about going back to pop after not making pop music for awhile, and y'all probably made her feel like shit
Don't be mad she's making music in a genre you don't like, she's very versatile but she's made her career from country and pop music. Folklore and evermore are albums she did during covid, I personally feel they aren't really even cannon in her discography as like full realeases
They feel like little side quests yk ?? Like a little side thing during our lockdown to help us through, but not a full thing
Like I can't explain it but I don't expect us to be getting a full album like that again. She's a pop girlie and she knows it and she loves it. Let her live and make the music she wants. If she ventures out once again to another genre I will be tuned in cause I know it will be great and I'm open to different genres
I'm more into artists, if they make good music I'll listen. I don't really get genres and I definitely don't have a favorite. It frustrates me when ppl ask me my favorite genre in music, I like what I like that's all I know
