wonwoo's rooftop:
it was a nice thursday afternoon when wonwoo was laying down on his rooftop on top of a velvety blanket.
yeri who happened to be laying her head at his one leg was reading a comic.
kevin on the other hand was taking strolls everywhere around the rooftop, waging his tail and playing around.
"wonwoo-ah!" she lowers the comic and looks upwards to notice his chin. he was enjoying the breeze with his eyes closed.
"mmhm?" he mumbles.
"isnt it a lovely?!" she blurs out having that perminant smile on. wownoo barely opens his eyes to peek at her. "aha!" he mutters and stare at the comic at her hands.
"what are you reading all this time?!" he grabbed while the girl tried to fight him off.
"hey!" but it was too late. wonwoo already read the title and burst out laughing. "whats wrong with looney tunes, huh?" she takes it back to her grip and pouts.
"how old are you? 4, chippy?"
"i am smarter than you!" she flicks his forehead and the poor guy whispers. "you really have a thing for abusing people!!" he giggles.
"emotional abuse hits harder!!!" she now was sitting on the ground but the guy grabbed her and pulled her back down.
"noooo dont leave!!!" he pouts and forces her head down.
"i thought i was 4 years old, huh?" she starts getting red. thats what happens everytime she is angry thats why wonwoo giggles.
"why are you laughing?" the girl frowns at this immature reaction. "cause everytime you get mad you turn red..." he stares at her cheeks. the girl immediately tries to cover her face but wonwoo stopped her.
"no! let me see it!!!" he insists with one of his fetching smiles. "why?" she blurs out trying not to look into his eyes.
"because its cute, you... are cute!"
her eyes slowly lock with his in the realisation.
wonwoo decided to put the comic back in her grip with a smile. "here you go! read your bugs bunny!" he teases her so now she rolls her eyes.
in her attempt to lift her head from his lap he immediately leans and gives her a peck on the lips as a way to fluster her - it worked.
"you are red again!" he whispers.
"as if!" she whispers on his lap, pretending she is not panicking. "i guess you are right!" he crosses his arms staring at the horizon.
"huh?" she narrows her eyebrows. "red is actually the best color!" once more he teases her and she gasps at how smart his remarks are.
"you are unbelievable!" her mouth is still wide open so he playfully puts his finger right in the front. she pretends to bite it and they both laugh.
the ringtone of her phone alerted them. yeri now had to get up and pick it up.
"hello?" she says and nods at some of the works coming from the other line. hanging up she shares a smile with wonwoo.
"i... i need to go!" she announces with a huge beam. "what? no nowwww why?" he cries like a baby while the girl gets up and pats his head.
"i have no idea, mom seemed bad. she was not telling whats up, she only told me to come back home immediately!" she grabs her bag and phone.
"aghh!" he grabs her and envelopes her with his arms. "come on, i'll see you soon ok?" she holds him too now.
"will you call me tonight?" he pouts.
"i'll think about it..." she teases him so rhe boy leans and gives her a peck on the lips. "i'll take that as a yes..."
"its a yes..." they both smile staring deeply into each other's eyes. walking out she sees kevin so she barely kneels down to caress him.
"goodbye kevin!!" she says and starts walking out until he heard a voice. "you are leaving?"
"oh hi mr. jeon! yeah i am leaving!" she waves at him.
"want me to drive you off somewhere?" he politely asked. "no, sir you dont have to! i'll be fine!" she bows. "okay, go home safe!" he now bows with a smile.
____yeri was right outside her house after such a beautiful day. nothing could make her sad at this point.
she gets in the house with the brightest beam she had.
"mom? seokmin?" she mumbled running to the living room with the most beautiful smile in the world.
the first thing she saw when she walked in was seokmin with teary eyes. her snile was slowly fading away.
next thing she noticed was how pakiced her mother looked. last thing she saw was a man standing close to the fireplace. when she locked eyes with him the smile completely got erased from her face.
"d-dad?" she stutters seriously shocked to have him right in front of him. flashbacks flashed wight before her eyes and now she also felt them teary.
"yeri-ah... i... i am back..." thats when a tear fell down and slid on her cheek.
"yeri, your father-" her mother was about to say but instead of actually hearing whatever she took a step back.
"yeri?" seokmin got up pretty concerned about his sister. she gave one last glance to every single person in the room and then she completely stormed out of the house.
she barely heard her name a numerous amount of times but she never turned back. she had no where to go, tears were now storming out of her eyes like waterfalls.
as soon as wiped them off for a single second she noticed she was now standing right in front of wonwoo's house.
she knocks on the door.
wonwoo opens right away like he was hoping it would be her. his face dropped as soon as he saw the tears in her eyes.
"yeri?" he is shocked because she surely seems a mess and ready to break right in front of him. he never felt more powerless in his life.
he wanted to give her the world but he didnt even have a stone of it. he wanted to give her the ocean but he couldnt find a single water drop.
so the only thing he decided to give her was shelter.
"come in!"
♡♡♡
bonus scene:
when yeri left, leaving wonwoo alone on the rooftop, he decided to sit back down and stare at the afternoon sky.
so peaceful but...
something was missing. it probably was her! he started peeking around just in case she is still around but of course she is not.
he even heard the door when she walked out. his eyes accidentally fell on that comic she forgot behind.
"you are unbelievable..." he whispers trying to be mature and ignore it. he looks at it again.
"i am 18 now..." he repeats trying to convince himself to stay away from that comic. the third time he looks at it he just opens it right in front of his eyes.
"nobody will know!" he says but then notices kevin right in front of him. "you better not talk about it!" he literally points at the dog and then goes back to reading.
a lot of minutes passed of him literally bursting out laughing at how hilirious this comic is.
he somehow felt her close...
thats when the bell rung.
