Aurora laid against Rhaego, as the dragon looked over the sea.
She heard footsteps crunching in the dirt, sighing.
" I said I wished to be alone, brother." Aurora stated, looking over the open ocean.
" It's me." Baela spoke, looking at Aurora. " Jace told me what Aemond did." She sat next to the Princess.
" He wants to fly out with Daemon and have the pleasure of killing Aemond himself." She looked to Aurora.
" Let us not mention it. I want to pretend it never happened." Aurora stood.
" Aurora, he is going to return. You are going to have to face him at some point." Baela stood, watching the Princess climb on the back of her dragon.
" And that point is not now." Aurora looked back to Baela. " Now, if you will pardon me, I wish to go for a fly."
" It is dangerous to fly without a mount, you could fall into the sea and die-"
" I would be with Lucerys. It wouldn't be so bad." Aurora hesitated slightly before she spoke again.
" Aemond would get to be with Lady Alys Rivers."
" Aurora.." Baela frowned.
" Velaryons are laid to rest at sea. I may not look like one, but I am one. If I die at sea, I will be at peace." Aurora turned towards the sea, as Rhaego stood.
" Sovēs!" She called out, as the large dragon took flight.
She felt at peace when the wind blew past her face, her hair flying out behind her.
Rhaego roared, flying into a bank of clouds.
He snarled as he rose out of it, and Aurora furrowed her brows, before seeing the source of his discomfort in the sky.
Aemond, on Vhagars back.
She called to Rhaego, before he dived down.
" Aurora!" Aemond called.
Rhaego rocketed to the ground, and Aurora could hear wings behind them.
Vhagars wings shot out, to stop her fall.
She was much older than Rhaego, and couldn't get as close to the sea as he could.
Rhaego shot his wings out, as his claws slashed at the water.
He soared above it, water splashing against the two.
" Aurora please!" Aemond called out from above her.
They drew closer to Dragonstone, and Aurora could see the red shape known as Caraxes.
The red dragon whistled, as Rhaego lifted up, before landing.
Wherever Caraxes was, Daemon was.
Vhagar landed behind Rhaego, as the dragon turned, not giving Aurora a chance to get off his back.
Daemond stood in front of the angry red dragon, staring to Aemond.
" Prince Aemond." Daemon spoke, resentment laced in his tone. " We are at war, I suggest you take your war dragon and leave Dragonstone at once. You have caused my daughter enough harm."
" If she would just let me talk to her to explain myself." Aemond spoke.
" Explain what?" Aurora asked, Rhaego being an obvious display of her emotions as he snarled to the Prince. " That you fucked another woman and got her pregnant?"
" Aurora-"
" Tell me this, husband." Aurora climbed off Rhaego, walking up to the Prince. She swore she saw a flash of regret in his remaining eye. " Do you love Alys Rivers, or me?"
Daemon smirked behind her, seeing himself in this girl he helped raise.
" Aurora-"
" Don't." Aurora huffed. " Don't pretend that it didn't happen."
" The Prince isn't capable of loving anyone, Little Dove." Daemon called out.
Aurora stilled at the nickname that Lucerys used to call her.
" Mother?" The small voice spoke up. " Why is dad here?"
" He was just leaving." Aurora turned and walked to her child, plastering a smile on her face to hide her pain.
" We aren't finished with this conversation, Aurora." Aemond spoke.
" You answered my question with silence, which gave me my answer." Aurora turned to him. " There is nothing more to talk about."
Aemond stepped closer, and Daemon drew his sword, pressing it against the Prince's chest.
" Daemon." Rhaenyra called out. " Drop the sword from my brothers chest."
Daemon hesitated.
" Dad." Aurora spoke, and Daemon dropped the sword, moving to shield Aurora and Aeresanne from Prince Aemond.
" Prince Aemond requested to come here." Rhaenyra spoke. " Before we got the envoy from the riverlands."
" Envoy?" Aemond asked.
" From the Lady Alys Rivers." Daemon answered. " She is carrying your child."
