(There is a bit of a time jump so please bare with me)
Today's the day! If you couldn't tell, today is the day that James and I get to fly to North Carolina so that I get to meet the rest of the cast. I didn't really know what to expect, all I know is that Ethan Hawke is supposed to have a part as well. I'm really excited to meet him along with the rest of the cast.
"Hey squirt you ready?" James asks while bringing his last bag down stairs and to the front door
"Yeah I think so."
"Hey calm down. Okay. Everything is gonna be perfectly fine." He said grabbing my shoulders before giving me a hug
"Thanks JJ, I just don't want to screw up when I meet them." I say looking down
"You won't, I promise, you'll be fine" he looked like he actually meant it. JJ has a weird way of making you believe everything he says, true or not
-----Time Jump (After the flight)-----
The flight was pretty boring, JJ slept the whole time so I didn't have much to do besides listen to music.
"Hey, I gotta go get the car. You stay here. Okay?" JJ said looking at me
"Sounds good." I respond, I was currently trying to find the address of the studio. JJ dropped all of his bags at my feet and walked away. A few people came up to me asking for pictures or signatures. I'm glad I decided on a decent outfit to wear. About 20 minutes later James came back to help me load everything into the car. It took about 30 minutes to figure out where the hotel was and check in. We dropped all of our stuff in the hotel and by the time I checked my phone, I saw that we should have left 5 minutes ago.
"JJ we need to leave or I'm gonna be late." I said trying to push him to the door
"Okay, okay, chill I'm gonna get you there on time." he said and opened the door for me. As I walked out a boy about my age walked out from the door right across the hall with who I'm assuming is his mother, he smiled at me and started heading down the hall. I'm not gonna lie he was pretty cute but I probably won't ever see him again so.
-----Skip the car ride (James got lost)-----
"JJ I'm late hurry up and just find a place to park!" I yell as James pulls into the parking lot
"Fine just go in, I will find a spot and come in after you." He said pulling up to the building
"Thank you JJ. Love you!" I said while getting out of the car
"Says the one who just yelled at me." I just shut the door and went inside. Scott saw me first as I walked in
"You must be Cassie Mills. It is so nice to finally meet you. Scott Derrickson." He introduced himself
"Cassie Mills. It is so nice to meet you too, I can't wait to work with you." I introduce myself
"Well you can go talk to the cast and get to know them a bit and we will get started in a few minutes." Scott informed me
"Alright thank you Scott." I waved and walked off. I walked over to a table to put my stuff down when I heard someone yell
"CASSIE!" I turned my head and saw Maddy running up to me
"MADDY!" I yell as she crashes into me. I wrap my arms around her shoulders while she wraps her arms around my waist
"I haven't seen you in so long! I didn't even know you auditioned for this movie." She exclaimed still breathing heavy
"Yeah I didn't know you did either. But at least now we get to work with each other again. What part do you play?" I ask her
"I play Gwen. What about you?" She returns the question
"I play Layla."
"Wait you know she's Gwen and Finney's best friend right?"
"Yes! And I'm super excited."
"Hey I've started talking to the others let me introduce you to them." Maddy said and grabbed my hand to drag me off
"This is Miguel and Tristan. Miguel plays Robin and Tristan plays Bruce." Maddy explained
"Hi nice to meet you." I said waving
"Holy crap! You're Cassie Mills from Wednesday and Secret Headquarters." Tristan whisper-yelled. I tried not to laugh and just nodded my head
"Yeah, she also worked with me on Secrets of Sulphur Springs thank you very much." Maddy sassed. She looked in another direction and quickly turned back to me, "Come on I want you to meet someone else." She grabbed my hand to drag me away again
"It was nice to meet you two." I turned around and said to Miguel and Tristan. Maddy and I stopped in front of another boy. It was the boy from the hotel
"This is Mason. Mason this is Cassie." Maddy said smiling
"You're the boy from the hotel." I said smiling at him
"Yeah, I've seen some of your shows. They're really good by the way." he said
"Thanks. Have yo-" I got cut off my Scott starting to talk
"Thank you everyone for coming to this meeting. I wanted to give you all a chance to meet each other before rehearsals. Can we all find a spot at the table so we can introduce ourselves." We all found spots to sit at the table. Maddy was sitting to my right and Mason to my left. I can't believe that I actually saw him again. And now I know his name. " Alright thank you. So let's start off by saying your name and the part you play. We can just go around the table, I'll start. My name is Scott Derrickson and I am the director." He finished and pointed to his left
"My name is Jacob Moran and I play Billy."
"My name is Brady Hepner and I play Vance."
"I'm Becca Clarke and I play Donna."
"Miguel Cazarez Mora and my character is Robin."
"Hi I'm Maddy McGraw and I play Gwen."
"I'm Cassie Mills, I play Layla."
"Mason Thames and I play Finney"
"I'm Brady Ryan and I play Matt."
"My names is Tristan Pravong and I play Bruce"
"Great thank you all so much and the last person of the main cast in Ethan but he couldn't make it today. Can I talk to Maddy, Cassie, and Mason for a second. The rest of you can start getting to know each other better." Maddy, Mason, and I walked out into the hallway behind Scott "Thank you so much for coming today, so besides you three Ethan is the other lead. I thought it would be a good idea for you three to get to know each other because Cassie you play Finney and Gwen's best friend and Finney's love interest. Maddy, Cassie, I know you two have worked together before which is amazing. So I will leave you three to find a way to communicate and get to know each other in any way you wish." Scott finished and went back inside the room where everyone else was.
"Why don't we get everyone's phone numbers then we can start a big cast group chat?" Maddy suggested.
"That's a great idea, we can just go get everyone's then add everyone as we get new ones." I added
"Yeah I can give one of you my number then you make a group chat with us three and we just add to it." Mason added on. I smiled and nodded my head, I pulled out my phone and opened messages "my number is (xxx)xxx-xxxx" I saved it into my phone and made the group with Maddy, Mason, and I

"Great now that it's made just as we get numbers just add them in." Maddy said, Mason and I nodded and all went back in.
