Ruby's pov

I hate having to get up early, I do it every day but still struggle with it.

Once I have fully woken up and headed down the stairs, I jumped onto the sofa and did my usual morning routine, putting something random on the telly and scrolling through Instagram.

I saw Lucy put something on her insta after the game yesterday and decided to look through the comments.

Caption: good win today girls. Manchester is blue 💙💙

kierawalsh: look good in blue 😉
^^^^lucybronze: so do you 😍

Getting a bit carried away, I scroll down a bit too far. Further than I ever have before. All the way back to 2014.

kierawalsh: when do I get to meet her 😭
Stanwaygeorgia: you guys are too cute
Leahwilliamson: bring her to the next camp I beg 🥺

I meant a lot to these girls that I'd never met before. Reading through all the comments starts to make me emotional and I can feel my eyes start to water.

I answer the phone already knowing it's going to be Sophie. "Hey Soph, what can I do for you on this fine morning."

"Ruby are you ok? Looks like you've been crying," ruby asks worryingly.

"I'm fine I promise, I was just thinking about Lucy but I'm ok now," I reply trying not to sound too upset.

"Ok well I'm coming around in 5 minutes to give you an outfit since I know you don't own any nice clothes"

"Wow, thanks soph" I say sarcastically. "The door will be open"

She hangs up, presumably to focus on driving and I wait for her to arrive.

Exactly 5 minutes later, as she said, the doorbell goes before I hear Sophie coming inside and the smell of hot chocolate. Despite working in a coffee shop, I hate coffee and don't see how people can enjoy it.

Sophie hands me a cup of hot chocolate before sitting down next to me, dropping all her bags with her.

"So, I have 2 ideas." Sophie starts "one is a jumpsuit and the other is a dress." I'm about to say something as soph knows how much I hate wearing dresses but it's like she can read my mind and begins to speak again. "I know what you're going to say, but trust me this one is really nice."

Rolling my eyes at her I sigh and take her bags upstairs before putting on a fashion show for my best friend.

First I put on the jumpsuit.

I'll be honest, this is so cute but I wasn't feeling it

I'll be honest, this is so cute but I wasn't feeling it. So next I try on the dress.

So next I try on the dress

Ok, this is so cute. I walk downstairs and show off my outfit to Sophie whose jaw immediately drops.

"Omg yes, that is so hot," she states

"Well thank you, soph," I playfully wink at her. I go back upstairs, happy with my outfit and begin to take it off, getting back into comfy clothes.

"So the dress then. Yes?" Sophie asks even though she already knows my answer.

"100% yes. Thank you, soph." I reply.
