Louis' point of view.

"Where are you taking me?" Her voice was soft but spoke with power. Her hand was in mine as I dragged her to my old beat pick up truck,"Uh, am I supposed to get in your car? You're a stran-"

I pushed my finger up against her soft pink lips that curved into a smile at the touch of my finger,"We're not strangers, love. You know my name and I know yours. Now is the part where we figure out eachother's stories."

Her smile grew and she simply nodde before climbing into the passenger seat of my truck. I stood where she once was and let out a small chuckle, What the hell am I getting myself into? I was dragging a beautiful girl who was just a stranger a little under an hour ago to drive with me. This story definitely seemed crazy, but in a way, I loved this twist in the casual boy meets girl story.

"You know, It seems a bit out of the ordinary that I'm in the car with you right now," She said biting her lip, but she continued and I was thankful because I loved the way her voice spoke the simplest words as if they meant everything inside of her head,"For all I know, you could possibly be a murderer or a kidnapper,"

"Speak more," I let myself say, earning a questionable look from her. But all I wanted in this moment was to hear her voice speak. She was mysterious and it's been dragging me in.

She shook her head,"You're quite interesting yourself,"

I nodded,"That I am,"

The sun was at it's peak, but soon it'd be setting. Letting the sky turn a mixture of colors, a beautiful masterpiece that would be painted in the sky.  My eyes wander over to the girl sitting in my passenger seat, her smile made me feel spontaneous, like in that moment I could do anything. She sat there searching through her bag, pulling out a book. A book I've read numerous times,The Fault in Our Stars.

"You're reading?"

I broke her out of her thoughts, she always looked so lost in her books, as if she was living the life as the main character, and I loved it about her. I watched her every single day pick out a new book and finish it within the time period she was there,"I mean, I don't know how long this ride is going to take, so might as well read a lovely novel, right?" She smiled sending me a goofy wink, and my lips let a small chuckle escape.

"So what's your favorite thing to do around here?" I asked her, attempting to make a conversation. I felt comfortable around her, but I also felt nervous but in the same time I felt like I couldn't be broken down when she was in reach of me.

She shrugged and pursed her lips out as if she was thinking,"I haven't really done anything but read, I'm new here."

"Really? Where did you attend high school?" I wanted to know more about her. I wanted to know everything. I wanted to know what made her laugh, what made her cry, smile, dance, nervous. She was a closed book that I wanted so badly to open, but she's one of those books you want to take your time with. You want to analyze each sentence and possibly look between each line. Each chapter was like a unfolding mystery, or like a puzzle piece. And she was like A puzzle that seemed impossible to finish. And I loved that about her.

I pulled over to the side of the road. It was a large field with a few trees scattered among it. The wheat was high, clearly it hasn't been cut in a while. She looked at me as if I was a looney, but I knew she wouldn't care if I was.

"You wanted to show me a wheat field?" She asked as she climbed out of the rusted car,"This is what all the hype was about?"

Simply nodding I grabbed her hand and went running with her right beside me. The summer air was flowing through her red hair and her smile was widening. Within moments her smile was now a fit of laughter as we ran through the field. We reached one of the trees and I stopped her there and pointed my finger. She followed the direction i was pointing and a small grin was slipping onto her glossy lips,"That's beautiful." Indeed she was.

"I come here a lot," I said in almost a hushed whisper, not breaking the moment. It was a perfect scene to just admire, it was a view of the sunsetting beyond the perfect horizon. Fireflies flickered through the air as the night sky began over taking the perfect beauty of the sun resting.

She just nodded and faced me,"I understand why."

"I want to know you, Alice." I said grabbing her hands and letting the gentleness of her skin comfort mine. Our eyes were scanning eachother. She was reading my story and I was searching for hers.

"I want to know you too, Louis."

I took all the courage I had in me and I let my lips graze hers. Her lips gently placed with mine and all else was forgotten in that time. We were now sitting on opposite sides of the tree, we both had our heads rested on the rough bark. But I didn't care, because these simple moments I had to hear her voice could easily over come the ache I'll wake up with tomorrow.

We take things in our life for granted, but when someone walks into your life, they show you value each passing minute on the clock because life with them is worth it.

"What's your favorite song?" She asked, her voice was getting quieter. Not because she was upset or she didn't want to speak to me. She simply wanted to admire the nighttime noises around her, how quiet the wind would sound, the constant but calming chirp of crickets.

"I really like anything by The Rolling Stones. Do you believe in fate?"

I heard her lips open but shut, I loved the silence we had, that would be broken by our simple voices, the pauses in between makes you value each second,"I think I do."

"Me too," My voice was a whisper,"Me too."
