it's been raining all night. she hates the rain. my finger kept trying to press the notification but my conscience kept me from doing it. i tried again but my phone died. i didn't want to read it anyway.

i sat on the sofa trying to get comfortable but it was impossible. what did the text say? i shouldn't be thinking about this. i put my hand to my forehead and turned on the tv to ignore everything.

___________a year ago____________

i met her through my friend intak. it started off as simple flirting. flirting turned to texting, texting turned to calls, calls to dates, dates to a relationship(after five months of knowing each other). 

it was beautiful at first. we talked about everything and enjoyed the time we had together even though we had busy schedules from our lectures and classes. we became a known couple on campus, mainly cause we'd run past each other screaming a compliment on the way to class. i loved her. 

"YOU'RE HAIR LOOKS GOOD TODAY"  i ran past her. "YOU LOOK GOOD IN GENERAL"  she yelled back. little things like that.

___six months into the relationship___

"hey jiung"  she slowed down while almost sprinting past me.. "yeah"   "move in with me"  "what"  "THINK ABOUT IT"  she ran away holding her books.  she said it so casually as if it was a normal question. "hey jiung want pizza?"  that casual.

i was shocked but i love her. at the end of the day i told her.

"were you joking"  "no. move in with me"   "okay"   "okay? "   "yeah."   she smiled wide and got excited. "i can't wait to decorate my apartment with you."  she hugged me "i love you"   she gasped. shoot did i do something wrong?    "i'm sorry... was that too soon"  "no... i just wanted to tell you first"  "oh"  "i love you too"  she kissed my cheek.

"so why did you suddenly ask"   "we don't spend time together throughout the day... so i thought at least we could see each other at night"    "oh... that's smart"

it took a month for me to pack up my dorm since we have no free time. once i finished y/n cleared her schedule to help me move in. her apartment was pretty empty. no wonder she wanted me to move in. i would ask my partner to move in too if it was this lonely in here. she had a cat but that was it.

she lived on the fifth floor of an apartment complex a few blocks from campus so it was convenient for her at least. i lived on campus. but i didn't mind the walk. it was extra time with her.

the first week living there we didn't have that much furniture so we had made plans to go shopping together to get some. we're still broke college kids so we went to resale shops and thrift stores. it ended up looking pretty good.
