Carbon emission is a trace gas in the atmosphere. CO2 is released into Earth's atmosphere mostly by the burning of carbon-containing fuels and the decay of wood and other plant matter. Under all conditions found naturally on Earth, CO2 is an invisible, odourless gas.
Let's understand more about carbon emissions and their disadvantages through a short story :
Wilting roots
It was a gloomy day for the habitants of Nathuram village. Well, actually it was a bright and sunny day but they had found themselves in quite a situation. The crops had wilted, unaware of the situation the villagers were enraged and disheartened as they would lose their wages and not be able to provide for the family. For weeks they had tried to come to the source of this vital issue, was it the fertiliser? Was it the compost? Or was it polluted water in irrigation? All had resulted in a negative response. The farmers were helpless, the entire village was interdependent on each other's livelihood.
The pasture couldn't be fed of the poisonous crop thus stopping poultry production, The local vendors had no vegetable to sell, import and export had also been vastly reduced.
Until an educated woman of the name 'Avanti' had stepped up to try out her thesis on what the solution might be. Her suspicion had proved to be correct when she had traced the wilting back to carbon emissions from multiple factories. Too much carbon dioxide can reduce the amount of valuable nutrients the plant produces including iron, zinc and vitamin C.
This loss of nutrients caused the crops to wilt. The farmers were thankful towards her for finally reaching the root of the evil but how could this evil be prevented?
