I sighed, leaning on the counter. Being a café worker is real hard, it was almost 4:00PM in the afternoon and I still wasn't done with my shift, so much for going home and binge-watching.
After sometime, the doorbell rang indicating someone had just come in, "Be a kind soul and get the order for me, will you?" I asked my co-worker who was also my roommate. "Look at their faces dude, I ain't going" Jennie replied as I finally lifted my head to see who they were.
You couldn't even see their faces, they were wearing masks, and in total there were 7 of them. They seemed to be looking pissed off about something. "Seriously? You can't even see their faces" I mumbled while rolling my eyes. I grabbed my notepad and pen before marching off to them.
"Good afternoon, what would you like to order?" I said with a fake smile on.
Silence
"Umm,hello? Can I know your order?" I asked, confusion lacing my voice.
And at this moment, I realized, I was getting ignored.
"Bloody fools" I angrily mumbled and turned on my heels to leave but was stopped by a voice, "What did you say!?" Oh,so apparently, they can't hear me shouting for their order but they definitely can hear me cursing at them, logic.
"I asked for your order, sir" I sarcastically said, turning around and smiling.
"Fied Cohfee fholr shevhen" one of them said but he was wearing a mask so I couldn't hear him well. "What?" I said, coming closer to hear better.
"Fied .Cohfee. for. shevhen" he repeated, but this time, every word clear, but I still couldn't hear him. I squinted my eyes thinking of any sentence similar to those sounds.
"You mean, Fried coffee for seven? I am sorry sir, that's not on-"
"ICED COFFEE FOR SEVEN DAMMIT!" he got up and shouting on my face, I went a few steps back and nodded.
"You could just had opened your mask you know, nice vocal cords, by the way" I honestly stated and turned away, going back to the counter, still feeling their glares on my back.
********
"Sir, your vocal cords-I mean, your coffee" I said, keeping the tray on the table. The vocal cords dude noticed me and said "Did you make it?"
I furrowed my brows, what type of question is that?
"I did help in putting the ice though" I said, it was true.
"We don't want it then" The guy with broad shoulders said.
"Why though?" I replied.
"Because...we don't accept food from people like you" The guy with cat-eyes said.
I felt offended
"But these are drinks so deal with it" I plainly said causing the vocal cords dude to get up again.
"I said, take the damn tray AND GO AWAY!" he took the tray and harshly passed it to me, causing some coffee to drop on my dress.
Yeah,they officially hit my patience.
I banged the tray on the table, took a glass, and splash! I splashed it on the vocal cords dude, he stumbled backwards as the rest of the members got up.
"Park Y/N, not nice to meet you at all" I sassily said before turning away and walking back to the counter.
I blinked twice at Jennie's shocked face, "What the hell was that".
I shrugged, "Not my fault".
I smiled at myself thinking I gave them the best revenge.
Was the chapter short?
I hope not!
See you in the next chapter pal!
Byeeeee!
