MADDISON HARGROVE

"Guys, this is just wrong." I say to Eleven and Max, who are giggling like crazy. "And gross."

Despite Eleven not having kind feelings towards Max when she first returned to their group, the relationship between the two of them have changed for the better. They started hanging out more over the rest of the school year, and it's gotten to the point where Eleven is at our house every single day now that it's summertime, today being no exception.

Dad put Billy in charge of all three of us but of course, he didn't listen. Instead, he went out and picked up one of his many girlfriends to 'hang out' in his room.

"Is she hurt?" Eleven asks me.

"No, I'm sure she's doing just fine." I answer, trying to stop myself from laughing.

She puts her head up against the door and her brows furrow in concern. "But she's screaming."

"Not necessarily in a bad way." I explain. "It's more like happy screams. Y'know, good screams."

"So...what exactly is a good scream?" Max wonders.

The girl seems to have just reached her climax, a loud, high pitched moan coming out of the bedroom.

All three of our eyes widen when it happens and I look at Eleven and Max.

"That's what a good scream is." I whisper.

The two of them burst into fits of giggles, putting their hands over their mouths to muffle the noise so Billy doesn't hear them.

"Okay, okay, seriously guys." I snap out of it. "I don't want Billy knowing that– hey Billy!"

The door opens suddenly to reveal my brother topless with a towel on his hips. He stares the three of us down and his jaw tightens.

"What the fuck are you guys doing?" He fumes.

"We just wanted to ask you if we could borrow your radio." Max lies, clearing her throat.

Billy scoffs. "Yeah, right. Because people giggle when they want a damn radio."

"How could you hear us over the screaming?" Eleven asks and she slaps her hand over her mouth as soon as she realises.

His face turns red with both anger and embarrassment, slamming his hand into the wall. "I swear to God, I'll gut all three of you. Maddie, was this your idea? To snoop on me while I'm screwing someone?"

I shake my head vigorously. "No."

"Cause if it was, I'd hate to tell everyone how you love to take it up the–"

I kick Billy in the crotch so he doesn't finish his sentence, leaving Eleven confused and Max in tears of laughter.

"Take what up where?" Eleven asks me curiously.

Max bites down on her lip, trying her hardest to contain herself. "Don't you worry about it, El. I'd like to keep you as pure as possible."
