I had gone out for groceries wen I got a call

"Hello"

"Hey y/n wanna come over to my place"

"Umm well. Kinda grocery shopping but you can come over to my place and help me put them away"

I smiled knowing my friend Paul can't say no

"Fine I'll help you"

"Yaaaayyy see ya soon Paul"

"See you soon y/n"

I hang up and walk towards the cereal isle as I think about Paul helping me I made sure not to buy to much so I don't tire him out check out and head home I call Paul to let him know I'm on my way home and drove home

I walk in and Paul has already made himself comfortable on my couch I smile to my self and say

"Care to help big boy"

That was my nick name for him and also a inside joke he walks over and picks up all the bags as I follow him to the kitchen he puts the groceries on my counter and we put them away

"Wanna go to my house now"

"I really don't wanna see gene he's annoying"
I pout my bottom lip but he doesn't care he smiles pick me up over his shoulder and walks out he door throwing me in the passenger seat of his car and we drive to his place

We walk in the door and the smell of sweat and beer hit my nose with a hint of vodka pauls favorite drink gene sees me and smiles at me and his eyes are red he is definitely high right now I smile and sit next to him and say

"Are you high gene"

"Maybe a little bit"
He says leaning in to try and kiss me I swearve away from his lips and he pouts at me I make my way upstairs and pound on aces door he answers looking like he got ran over by a bus I reach my hand out and feel his forehead

"You have a fever are you ok"

"No I have strep"
He says clutching his throat

"I'll go down stairs and make you some soup" I'll be right back

I rush downstairs and make ace some chicken noodle soup and take it up to him I walk in his door and put it on his bed side table and hug him goodnight

It's 8:30 and everyone is yawning I stand up and demand everyone go to bed gene and Eric obey my "orders" and stomp upstairs Paul looks at me and says

"Don't leave you can sleep in the room with me"
