Blonde Beanpole and Idiotic Blueberry

Oikawa Tooru has always been such a flirt. That should have been Ren's first red flag. But he showed Ren something magical. He was her first love. And it was perfect. Ren is lost in wondering what she did wrong. Was she not interesting enough? Did she not excite him anymore? What happened to make him stop loving her?

The fifteen year old girl didn't know what to do anymore. Its like he stopped caring about her. When she found out, his eyes were cold. He did nothing to comfort her, like she expected him to do.

Ren grins, slightly giddy. She's waiting for her boyfriend, Tooru, to finish changing after his game. And he won too! She watched as the rest of the Seijoh team came out of the locker room. She spots Iwaizumi. She knew him very well as he is Toorus best friend.

"Iwa!" She waves. "How are you?"

The boy looks uncomfortable. "Listen, Suzuki-san, there's something you should know."

Ren's face drops. She already knows. "Where is he?"

"The janitor's closet by the bathrooms. Listen-"

Ren doesn't care to hear out the rest. She tunes him out and walks away. "Thanks Iwa. Hopefully I'll see you later."

A teary eyed Ren approaches the closet. She had been dating Oikawa for almost two and a half years at this point. How could he do this to her?

"Just like that." She hears him moan through the door. "Keep going."

"What a pervert." She mutters before opening the door.

The pair in the closet jump away from each other. It was a girl Ren didn't recognize and Oikawa. The way he looked at her was so cold. He held no emotion to Ren's shaking figure.

"Oikawa-" Ren starts with tears running down her face, before he cuts her off.

"I know what you're going to say. It's over, Ren."

Ren didn't even get to break up with him! He broke up with her before she could say anything. That bastard. Ren fumes. The girl sits straight up at her desk. Her break is almost over and she spent all of it sulking over her ex. Pathetic. She scoffs to herself.

A tall blonde kid walks to sit in front of her. Great. Now I can't see. As if he hears her internal complaint, he turns to her.

"What is it, shorty?" He taunts. "Cant see?"

Ren rolls her eyes. "Obviously, idiot. You're a giant. It's abnormal. Go to a doctor."

His smirk turns sour for a second before it returns. "No, I'm afraid I'm pretty normal. Being a shrimp isn't though."

A green haired boy turns from talking to another classmate to face the bickering pair. "Tsukki! Stop picking on people." He turns to Ren. "Sorry about him. I let him out of my sight for a second and he got into trouble. I'm Yamaguchi Tadashi!" He points to the blonde bean pole. "And he's Tsukishima Kei."

Tsukishima sighs. "Don't tell this shrimp my name. She's gonna think we're friends now."

Yamaguchi just smiles. "Well shouldn't we be?"

Ren can't help but smile at Yamaguchi's brightness. "I think we should be! I'll put up with Saltyshima for a little while."

During lunch, Kageyama and Hinata came and asked Ren to help them practice. She was going to say no, so she could hang out with Yamaguchi, but Hinata begged and he was too adorable for Ren to say no to.

"Hinata! You need to put your legs into the receive. Stop flailing your arms like that!" Ren instructs.

"Yes ma'am!" Hinata yelps, slightly afraid of the pretty girl. "Hey, Ren?"

   "What's up?"

"Are you going to be the manager for-" He starts before she puts her hand up to stop him from speaking.

Ren points at Kageyama. "I'm not joining until he can prove that he's changed. Until then, I'm not making any promises." She explains.

The boy in question scrunches his face. "The captain is making us do a practice match to see if I will become setter for the team. I have to prove I can work with this dumb ass." He points to Hinata.

"If you guys can win, I'll join the team." She agrees. "Now, Hinata, show me what you've learned!"

Kageyama smiles. He couldn't help but notice how pretty she had gotten. It had been awhile since he's been so close to her. She's matured a lot. He tries to shake off this line of thinking. They had been best friends for so long. But he missed a vital time in her life where she had done a lot of maturing. His heart clenches at that. He hasn't matured much at all. Kageyama felt like he needed her to do that.

Suddenly, a ball comes flying at Kageyama's face, and hits him square in the nose. Blood is pouring out of it.

"Oh my god! Hinata! You idiot!" Ren exclaims. "Kageyama are you okay? Of course not! Ill take you to the nurses office." She grabs his arm and starts dragging him there before he can say anything, leaving Hinata in shock that Ren unknowingly saved his life.

"Ren-" Kageyama starts before she interrupts him.

"Be quiet, blueberry. This is your fault anyways because you weren't pay attention!" Ren says, still dragging the poor boy behind her. "What were you even thinking about?"

His face goes beat red. "N-nothing!" Kageyama shouts, earning a pinch from Ren.

"Don't yell, you idiot! We're in a school."
