Jennifer's P.O.V

I inhaled deeply and exhaled slowly. I felt light like a feather. My body flowed with the easy rhythm of my heartbeat. Every move, smoother than the previous one, became a new pose on the mat. The level of relaxation I was reaching was almost heavenly. But that was before the loud sound of the bell took me out of that trance.

I walked barefoot to the door, having an idea of who it could be, and I wasn't wrong, it was Ben. The surprise came when I realized he wasn't alone. That was a sight I wasn't ready for, too adorable.

"Hey." I said with a tone of surprise in my voice.

"Hi." He replied with a big smile. "This is Sam."

"Hi Sam." I said in a funny silly voice. "Come in. Do you need help with that bag?"

"Actually, I need help with him." He answered. "Can you hold him for a moment? I forgot my phone in the car."

"Yeah... okay." I said.

Sam looked a lot like his father. He was a mini Ben, except for his blonde hair. He had told me about him a few times, but he had never mentioned he was such a cute baby. He hadn't stopped smiling for a second.

"Hi." I said as I took him in my arms. I was relieved when he didn't cry.

"I'll be right back." He said dropping his bag on the floor.

"Okay." I said smiling.

I hung the bag on my shoulder. When I turned around, the vivid color of the mat where I was doing yoga seemed to catch his attention. He closed and opened his hands like trying to grab it from a distance. The closer we were, the more excited he got. So we sat on it.

"Do you like it? Yeah?" I said amused by his reaction.

He was the happiest kid, and for a moment, when he looked at me with those big eyes, he reminded me how much I missed when the cocos were babies.

"Did daddy bring toys for you?" I said as I opened the bag Ben had brought. "A teddy bear! Do you want it?" I took his reaction as a yes.

I was so in the moment playing with Sam that I didn't realize Ben was back from his car. When I looked behind me, he was sitting on the couch, watching and taking a picture with his phone.

"What are you doing?" I said laughing.

"I wanna remember this." He answered with a shy smile. "And pictures last longer."

"He's adorable." I said. "Does he walk?"

"He's been taking his first steps, that's why he has to be watched all the time, he's entering that crazy phase." He explained with a funny face.

"Right." I chuckled.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to show up with him without telling you. It was a last minute change... since we don't live together anymore." He said with a tone of regret in his voice. But it didn't bother me at all, in fact, it was a pleasant surprise.

"You have to tell her... everything. I will start showing at some point." I said.

"I know. I will." He replied.

He stood up and walked over to us to sit on the floor. He wrapped his arm around me and kissed my face.

"You can stay here..." I said in a low voice.

"Are you asking me to move in with you?" He asked in a funny voice.

"You could bring a toothbrush... a few shirts... that shaving cream that smells so good." I said in a teasing tone.

"I can work with that." He smiled and reached for my lips. "Are you going to continue with your yoga?"

"So you can watch?" I giggled.

"No one should look so tempting, it's not fair." He said as he brushed my lips with his lips.

"It won't last long... I'm gonna get fat." I said in a childlike tone.

"You're only gonna get sexier." He whispered.

I laughed and he tried to kiss me, but he missed, his nose bumped against mine in a funny way and we chuckled. My eyes were closed, but I could feel his smile near my face, his beard scratched against my skin. I loved that. I tilted my head so our lips could meet firmly at last. He gripped his hands on my waist and leaned slowly on me, making me fall backwards on the mat, and making Sam burst into laughter. His laugh was contagious, but what made us lose it was the realization that he had crawled toward us and was now trying to join the party.

"I don't think he's gonna nap after this." Ben said in a defeated tone.

"Too bad... cause I was gonna have a post-yoga shower." I said in a teasing tone and playing with my tongue on my lips.

"Sam, it's nap time." He said in a funny tone as he took him in his arms, and rose from the floor.

That made me laugh, but my face was rapidly switched to a tender expression when the sight became an endearing demonstration of love. Ben kissed the top of Sam's head, and he was miraculously soothed, like he knew it was time to sleep and he could feel safe even though he wasn't home, because his caring dad was there with him. Sam rested his head on Ben's shoulder, and he turned to me as he rocked his body gently. I was in awe. He smiled, and I smiled back. I couldn't get my eyes off him.

I took my hand to my belly almost unconsciously, feeling reassured after seeing him being the loveliest father.

"You already have the best daddy." I said in a low voice.
