With a pout you pushed him against the wall and said, "How could you go on a blind date, oppa? You promised to marry me."
Jungkook coughed from the sudden impact before he said," Come on, I was 16 when I said that. Now I am 32, also eight years older than you. Marriage is unlike a play of house."
You whined before pulling away. "I love you. Can't you see it? It's you or no one. I mean it." He grinned," You want me? Try and take me."
Without sparing you a glance he walked away while you shouted,"Only twenty roses are left. Be ready to say yes."
You also exited the warehouse where your hitman had kept him as a hostage. Actually, you paid the hitman to kidnap Jungkook from his own wedding. If it weren't for you to 'groom-nap' him then he would've never been known for his 'five cancelled weddings' although he was the most eligible bachelor.
Your hitman Yoongi does it very smooth like butter that no one knew about the person behind it. You were totally secure and protected.
Driving a car to your parents home you thought about the what the news could be? Your mother and stepdad sounded pretty excited. Pulling over you went to click the door bell. Soon the door opened and you gave your mother a bone crushing hug.
She embraced you equally and said," Missed you." You pulled away and smiled," Me too. Living alone is hell of a work."
You steppes in and gave a side hug to Mr. Park. He greeted you too. Turning to your mother you said," So what's the deal?"
She said," Mirae has finally agreed to move on." Ohmygod. Park Mirae was married to Namjoon but when he cheated on her she broke apart.
"Where's unnie?"
She pointed towards stairs and you dashed upstairs. Slam open her room and running to capture her in a bear hug. Tbh, you were a hugger. You loved give love.
"Unnie, unnie, unnie! I love you so much. I'm so proud, babe. You finally decided to break the shell."
She giggled and said," I know right. I think it was about time when I had to marry and move forward."
"Good girl." You patted her head and listened to her talk about her list of five different dates throughout the upcoming week. When it was done you ate dinner and went back to your own home.
The next day you woke up early in the morning, drove to river Han where a world famous florist had his shop. The flowers he grew had intoxicating fragrance. Getting into the queue you waited for an hour in the chilling breeze, not to mention it was 5°C and you woke up at 5am.
Argh! Things you do in love...
Pouncing from one foot to another you finally got in and ran to a specific corner where your beloved flowers should be. A little panick was also there because generally you were the first to enter in the shop but today you were late.
As expected all the roses were gone.
A sulk drowned you into the depth of pain. You only wanted ten roses what's the big deal but somehow the bucket of 100 roses were empty.
The florist, Jung Hoseok saw you and immediately recognised as his regular costumer. When he didn't see the twinkle in your eyes he frowned. He always saw you coming at his shop to buy roses since two years. Everyday. Without a single miss, you anticipated for him to open the shop even if you get wet in rain or bare with the period cramps. You were always there.
He remembered the day he asked you why you do it and you said that the man you loved adored roses. You believe that putting 10,000 hours on anything could make you achieve it. That's why since two years you're buying the best roses for Jungkook as your crush had playfully agreed to say yes. He didn't mean it but you wanted to grasp every chance you had under your wings.
"Y/N, right?" You flinched. Turning around you bowed at him. He did the same and asked," You didn't bought roses?"
You shook your head and shrugged. "There's nothing left."
He eyed the bucket then you. Grabbing the wrist he dragged you to the backside of the shop where his small nursery was present. He, himself, plucked some fine roses for you while his assistant Jimin was at the counter.
"I'll always keep ten roses for you as you're our special customer."
"Thank you."
You paid for it then went back to the parking lot. It was 7am and most of the people were awake when you drived to the destination. So was Jungkook when you rang his doorbell and he came out in his tank top and sweatpants, ear occupied with headphones as a sheen of sweat covered his hot work out body.
He drank his protein shake while eyeing you with a pokar face. He didn't paid you any attention before going back and doing his dumbbells. A mere sight could faint anyone. You wished to get strangled between his biceps. Your wish was as crazy as you.
"Here. Roses for you." You stepped towards him, bringing it closer to his face. He chuckled," Aren't you tired? Give up, Y/N. I can't see you going beyond your moral and running after a man."
He grabbed the bouquet from your hand and went to place it in the vase he put on his dinning able. A silver of smile took over your lips because he specifically bought that white porcelain vase for your roses. Earlier he denied to accept the flowers but after the 100th bundle of rose he decided to buy a vase to at least appreciate the effort. It was also because it was his favorite flowers and it smelled nice.
Even he didn't knew why he wait for you every morning. After a smelly workout or tired day it's your small efforts that melt his stress.
"Oppa, there's this movie-"
"No."
"There is a new restau-"
"No."
"I-" He again cuts you off with a no. "Your parents won't be pleased when they'll know you come here every morning. Sometimes I'm concerned about you getting into an accident because of me. I'm not the right person who appreciate your efforts. Find someone who loves you."
You suddenly felt heavy in heart. "What's wrong in me? Why can't you love me?"
He ran his palm over the face and sighed. Keeping the hand on hips he said," Age gap. You're totally driven by your impulsive decisions while I think before taking any step. I'd like you to date a man around your age rather than waiting for me. I'm old."
You clenched your jaw. He kept talking but you became deaf for it. With glistening eyes you looked at the dried, rotten roses of yesterday dumped into the dustbin. Perhaps that's how you felt, like a trash.
Without saying much you walked out of his house before a drop of any tear stained his so called heaven like home. He didn't even noticed you were gone but of the silent walk. If he feels it's not good to constantly drop by his house then you won't. You weren't going to lower your standards. You still had your morals.
For few days you didn't talked to anyone. Just going to university and coming back home. It was robotic. Your friends could see you were behaving different although you didn't shared the reason behind it. On Friday you again fell into the rabbit hole.
You were lovestruck. A part of you felt guilty for walking out on him which was a right decision. Another part of you blamed yourself to be such a hot headed, stubborn girl who couldn't at least complete final step in the mission of 10000 roses. 'Only ten left and you're giving up? Not good, Y/N, not good.' Your inner side scolded you.
