─IN A MATTER OF two days, Attiah's back has cleared up. The only thing left is faint scars that would fade over a short amount of time and scabbing at the bleeding areas.

Her leg, because of the infection, is still on its way (needing a bandage to keep the pressure and other potential infections away) but none the less, doesn't need long to be completely healed.

Whatever remedy Mo'at uses on her, it works every time. Whether it's Yalnerbark or whatever she used the other day, Tsahik knows what she is doing.

Attiah is no Tsahik, but she has had enough visits to understand the basic gist of the remedies and application. More often than not, it is a combination of plants and natural compounds, all provided by Eywa.

She learnt how to bandage herself at the age of five because of how often she was getting hurt as a result of her own clumsiness, if at times the consequences of kids playing.

That being said, Tsahik saw to it that Attiah is very capable to change the bandage wrapped around her calf when she thought it necessary.

The morning air is crisp as Attiah sits alone in her home, her leg stretched out and medical supplies surrounding her.

The pain has disappeared almost entirely, only occurring when it's touched.

Grabbing the end, she unwraps the bandage around her leg, wincing as it comes off fully.

Using a washcloth, she picks it up from the bowl of water it was sitting in, using it to wipe the area clean. She applies a remedy her grandmother taught her how to make that is excellent on wounds and great to stop bleeding on fresh ones.

Peacefully, the Sully girl rubs it thickly over the gash. She collects a new and clean bandage from her medical supplies and begins wrapping.

"That's gonna leave a sick scar," Attiah looks up from her leg with a start to see Spider standing at the opening of the tent sort of awkwardly with his hands by his sides.

"Jesus, you scared me. Have you ever heard of knocking?" she removes the hand from her heart, looking at Spider incredulously.

"On what? The material of the tent?" He asks sarcastically while shifting on his feet before sitting next to her on the floor, watching as she finishes wrapping her bandage.

"Yeah, maybe then I wouldn't have just shat myself." Spider chuckles at her, "Well... what do you want?"

"What do you mean? Maybe I just want to sit here and spend time with my best friend," the blonde boy throws his arm over her shoulder but Attiah isn't buying what he's saying.

"Yeah... we both know your best friend is Lo'ak. What do you want?"

Spider sighs, taking his arm off Attiah's shoulder and into his lap, "Okay... Lo'ak is with Neteyam and your dad and I didn't really want to crash. But I do want to hang with you. You're my best friend too."

"You can't have two best friends," she scoffs while shaking her head and looking down to him, "That's why it's called a best friend. There's only one."

"Who says? Are you the rule maker of best friends? That's what I thought." Spider frowns at her toward the start before punching her in the arm playfully, causing her to laugh at the wave of affection.

Aside from Spider, she hasn't ever really had a friend that wasn't sharing her last name.

It's weird to think about, but none of the Sully children have ever really had friends that weren't each other. Apart from Spider, it was always just the Sullys. And really, Attiah sees Spider as family anyway. Sure, they got along fine with the other kids in the forest, but none of them were really friends.

Tuk would go to the village and play with the other children (as did all of them when they were young) and she knew them all by name, but they never did typical friend stuff. Never would any of them go out of their way to hang out with these people under any other circumstances. They were like the kind of classmates you have in primary school where you play together at recess and lunch, but never play elsewhere.

You know each other's name and play tag together but that's it. You're friendly with them, but not friends. Other than that, none of them quite had that whole group of friends to call their own. It was always the Sully kids... and Spider, the human boy.

Naturally as the children of Toruk Makto, people wanted to be friends with them, but they were also completely terrified and intimidated.

Attiah never needed or wanted more than her siblings and Spider, but sometimes it did bother her that that was all she had.

She laughs, looking to the blonde boy who sat next to her, "Damn man, you need friends who aren't my siblings."

Spider jokingly gasps, "I have friends who aren't your siblings."

"Uh-huh, who? Don't say me," she tilts her head at him expectantly with raised eyebrows, already knowing the answer.

"You. Alright, what friends have you got? Don't say me," Spider raises an eyebrow at Attiah, knowing that they have the same friends.

"You."

"See neither of us have friends," the human whacks her upside the head before jumping to his feet and running out the tent, her chasing after him while giggling.

"I'm just saying ma, the mission would be so much better off with Neteyam, Lo'ak and I still patrolling the skies. We know what we did was wrong last time, and we won't do it again. I promise."

Sitting cross legged in front of her mother with her back to her, Attiah's head is turned in order to speak to Neytiri. The older woman has the end of one of Attiah's braids in her slender fingers, unraveling it and allowing her unbraided hair to fall silkily down her back.
