Ch.9- The Eyes of a Shadow

Not catchy but it works for a library name.

The one place that was not far from Mk's apartment. 

You were right now at home due to a public holiday across the country and had nothing better to do.

Homework? You did it at college so you could be lazy at home.

Work? The library too was closed.

Mk and Mei? Mk had work thanks to Pigsy. Mei was also attending an event with her parents.

Mr Tang? I was busy freeloading.

Monkey King? How the heck were you supposed to travel through the flaming mountains? Swimming? Nope. Out of the question. Besides, he doesn't even know you well.

Sandy? At his therapist.

Redson? Busy planning to destroy the world.

The abandoned factory!!

You stared at the abandoned factory in front of you. There was an eerie silence as the winds blew through the squeaky hanging sign boards.

It looked a lot more abandoned than you thought. But it was in a better condition than you think.

The place was cleaned too.

So you couldn't call it abandoned either.

But the quiet did not make it better.

It seemed like it was a chemical factory back in the day before it shut down.

You guessed now a shadow monkey habited this place

Whether or not someone suspected someone living here, they would never suspect the Six-Eared Macaque to be living here.

You knocked on the door three times. You heard footsteps approaching behind the door before the door clicked open.

And you would not guess who it was.

No seriously...

It was just some ikemen with perfect looks, dark raven hair, golden eyes and perfect skin... who was drinking coffee. Black coffee to be specific.

The man gave you one look before spitting out his coffee in shock. You could tell by how his eyes widened.

"Uh... hi." You began with an awkward smile, "Sorry, I thought no one lived here but I thought I'd check!" You bowed before turning away from him and started to speed walk away from the factory, "I am sorry for bothering you! I'll leave!! You will never have to see my face!! Forget this ever happened!!"

"NO! WAIT!! COME BACK!!" He shouted.

"I see... so you had a fight with someone close to you and after you left you made a deal with someone to let you stay... here? In this abandoned factory?" You questioned, motioning to the old factory that was shut down.

You both were sitting across each other, on your knees on a small mat given to you.

This guy who was still unnamed, invited you inside to tell you why he was there. 

Though you knew that you shouldn't have, you have pepper spray and a small blade in your pockets just in case.

You smiled at him, giving him an unsuspected smile.

The man in front of you was none other than the Six-eared Macaque you wanted to find out more about.

You were just too oblivious because of the ikemen aura he was giving out.

He had figured it out though thanks to his six ears that tell him about the past and future.

He wanted to laugh but kept it in.

Macaque smiled back at you. 

Let's just say those words and sentences exchanged between you two were over (in other words the awkward conversation was really short).

You left after a few minutes.

The conversation with that man whose you still didn't know the name of was interesting to say at least.

His stories matched some tales which were being told to you by Mr Tang.

You guessed that many people related themselves to the situations faced by each Journey to the West companions.

Macaque was quite happy today.

He had got to meet you face to face again.

The first one is back in your world and the second is today.

He didn't know how to express himself but before that, he had to make sure you got home safely.

Just like he does every day.

Those memories that used to haunt him disappeared at the sight of you. 

If he isn't there his other version is there (his clone) to watch you over and keep you safe.

He will never let go of his hold on you at night as you struggle to get a proper good sleep.

He will always protect you whenever you are in danger.

He won't lose you again.

 He loves you too much.

His eyes will never leave you.
