Felix's POV

I awoke, early in the morning. The sun hadn't even come up yet as I hop out of bed and walk to my bathroom.

Looking at myself in the mirror, I brush my teeth and wash my face, then using the toilet and heading back out to my dresser.

I picked out a white t-shirt and black ripped jeans. I attached a silver chain to my waistband and put a few rings on my fingers. I also picked a sliver chain and placed that around my neck.

Walking back into my bathroom, I brushed out my hair and styled it like I normally do. After doing so, I left my room and went downstairs, filling my water and packing my bag, grabbing a snack before I heard a honk from outside my house.

I walked out of the house, walking down the walkway and getting into Changbin's car.

"Heyy! How ya doing?" I asked him.

"I'm good, how about you?"

"I'm good, thank you," I answered.

"We need to hurry so we're early, the group agreed to meet up behind the school this morning," he told me.

"Okay, sounds good," Changbin put the car in gear and started driving. The car was silent the whole way there. Luckily it wasn't awkward, because it's a very short drive. I kept getting the urge to ask him what he said the other day, but I resisted since I didn't want to make him uncomfortable.

A little while after exiting the car, we arrived to the back of the building. Minho, Jisung, Jeongin and Seungmin were already there waiting for us, so we went up to them and started a conversation. It soon ended when Chan and Hyunjin arrived.

"So, I think we all need to talk about something," Chan said, "Hyunjin, can you take Felix and go somewhere else?" Hyunjin nodded and grabbed my arm, yanking me beside him as he walked us away from where everyone else was.

"Hey, can you let go?" I quietly asked Hyunjin as he dragged me away from the back of the school.

"Hyunjin, let go," I said, raising my voice a bit.

"Stop!" I yanked my arm from his grasp, he quickly turned around.

"Do you guys actually think I'm just gonna let everyone talk about it without telling me? Shitheads," I say. I began walking back to the group when Hyunjin gripped my t-shirt tightly and pulled me back harshly, causing me to fall onto the ground with a thud.

"Hey! What was that f-"

Hyunjin covered my mouth and whispered to me, "If you want to know, you can't be so loud." My eyes widened when I saw how close the alpha was. As the atmosphere around the two of us became silent, I started to hear bits of what they were saying.

"Changbin, you know about Ji's old school, why would you say that?"

"I don't know, I just did, it was an accident, sorry."

"You're sorry? You almost split up our friend group!?"

"Okay, now that's a bit far."

"But, technically he's right, you hurt Jisung really bad."

"I'm sorry, okay!? This is what I mean, none of you-"

"Binnie, please don't."

"Why should I-"

"Changbin, stop, now. We know what Jisung said hurt you, but please just listen-"

"Just give me some space, I'm leaving."

That's not enough information to understand anything. Changbin was rounding the corner when Hyunjin quickly pulled me up off my feet and we ran around the corner of the school building, waiting there as if we hadn't heard anything.

"Do you know?" I whispered to Jinnie as we leaned on the school wall.

"Know what?"

"What he said?"

Hyunjin's POV

I really like him, and I can't just say that all happened because of Felix.

"No one told me," they all told me.

"Do you know why they didn't?"

"No," they told me to lie to him.

"Oh," Felix looks so sad, almost a like a puppy that just lost their owner.

"Don't lie to me." He suddenly said in a deep voice.

His face got serious as he stared at me with his bright eyes.

"...what?" How could he tell? Am I that bad at lying?

"Have you never done research on omega's powers? Like ever?" He seemed concerned that I didn't know what their powers were, but I'm so confused. The schools around here taught us that omega's don't get powers.

"The schools say you don't get any," I tell him.

"Do you think alphas and betas would get powers, but we wouldn't? That's just dumb.. but, to be fair, not all omegas get them."

"So you know what I've been thinking this whole time?" I was kind of scared now, did he know what I was thinking the first night we met?

"You know, I can still tell what you're thinking," he reminded me.

"Well, it's kinda too late for me to be embarrassed," I said. Truth be told, it definitely is, especially after I came over the other day.

"I mean, you are pretty cute, I wouldn't mind hanging out a bit more," he said in a teasing way, he seemed like he was being sarcastic, but the way he looked at me made me feel otherwise.

"But-"

Interrupting our conversation, an announcement came on the speakers.

"Hello everyone, and good morning! We hope you are all excited for your first day back! I'm only coming onto the intercom to remind you that first period starts in 10 minutes, doors lock in 20. Have a nice first day!"

There was a moment of silence between them until Felix spoke up.

"I was gonna say it was harder for me to read your mind than everyone else's, kinda like me with my sister," Felix looked up at me as I looked at him with widened eyes. Eventually, he figured it out as well.

"You have Jinaa's power!?"

I hesitantly nodded.

"So that's why I'm getting blocked out, I get it now."

Felix asked if we should head inside yet, so I said sure. The two of us walked in together, heading for our first period.

We have almost every class together since Felix doesn't know his way around the school yet, and can't speak Korean fluently. He needed someone to help him, and Chan chose me to do most of it, since I was the most single out of all our friends at the time and they wanted me to get a boyfriend.

The two of us arrived at our first class just on time that we could pick our seats to be next to each other. We have science first, which we have with Seungmin. He sat across the row from us, since he got there later. He was probably with Chan doing who knows what, it literally could've been anything.

"Hello everyone! My name is Mrs. Choi, and I'll be your science teacher for this school year!"

This will be a fun year, I can feel it.
