You can show yourself strong after being hurt but only you know how much broken you are!

She was sitting on the bed, resting her head against the headboard, staring blankly at the ceiling. Tears flowed freely from her eyes, tracing silent paths down her cheeks. They were back at her house after performing the last rites for her parents.

Karan stood outside the room, watching her with his own eyes brimming with tears. The sight of her heartbreak was almost unbearable.

"Hello...Ankit!" he answered the call, collapsing onto the sofa.

"Karan, we've been calling you for hours! Why weren't you picking up? And what's wrong? You sound terrible," Ankit's voice was a mix of reprimand and concern.

"Preeta's parents are no more," Karan said, struggling to keep his composure as he took a deep breath.

"What?" Ankit and Priyanka gasped in unison, shock reverberating through the phone.

"Karan...Preeta! Where is she?" Priyanka's worry was palpable; she knew how devastating this would be for Preeta.

"She's in her room...I'll put her on," Karan said, walking towards her room with a heavy heart.

"Preeta...what are you doing?" he asked, seeing her packing everything. He tossed his phone on the bed and stood in front of her.

"I need to go back to Mumbai...book tickets for tomorrow morning," she said, her voice flat, as she pulled things from the wardrobe. He glared at her, frustration building.

"What are you doing?" Karan grabbed her shoulders, shouting as his patience snapped.

"Calm down...what's gotten into you?" he softened his tone, seeing her flinch at his outburst.

"I need to go back to Mumbai! That's it!" she replied, meeting his eyes with a mixture of pain and determination.

"What's wrong with you? Why are you packing all this?" he asked, pointing at the scattered belongings, utterly confused and irritated.

"These are my things...because after today, I'm not coming back here...I'm not coming back to Bangalore," she said, her voice heavy with emotion as she shrugged off his hands.

"Why? Why won't you come back? This is your home...you can come here whenever you want," Karan scolded her, his voice rising in desperation.

"This flat was on rent temporarily...because mom and dad were planning to move to Mumbai. I'm giving it back to the broker...I have to clear out everything before that, so please stop questioning me," she explained, her voice breaking as she resumed packing.

"Why do you have to leave tomorrow? Explain that first," Karan demanded, though he began helping her with the packing.

"Because I don't know anyone here...I have no relatives, no cousins, no family members. Staying here alone, hurting myself, makes no sense. It's better if I stay in Mumbai," Preeta said, her voice thick with emotion as she tried to control her tears.
