Life without you

Chapter 2

Cloud and Y/N have been riding for about 6 to 7 hours, until they came to an inn, just as it was getting dark. Cloud parked his bike in the small parking lot, and Y/N grabbed her sword. (You never know when you're gonna get attacked.) They both stretched a bit before heading inside, and walked up to the service clerk.
"One room with two beds please.", Cloud said politely, which impressed Y/N. He never used to use manners before and when he joined Avalanche. Which was probably why he always pissed Barret off all the time.
"Sorry, we're all out of those rooms. We only have one room with one bed left.", the service clerk apologized. Cloud looked at Y/N.
"That's fine, we'll take it.", Y/N answered with a smile.
"Okay, that'll be 500 gil please.", the clerk nodded. Cloud started giving the clerk gil before Y/N stopped him.
"I can pay for my half.", Y/N said, dishing some gil out of her pocket.
"It's okay, I got you.", Cloud smiled and handed the clerk 500 gil. Y/N blushed, putting her gil back in her pocket.
"Thank you very much, sir. Here's your key, enjoy your stay.", the clerk said happily.
"Thanks.", Cloud answered, taking the key. They walked in silence as they reached their room.
"I'll sleep on the floor, you take the bed.", Cloud stated, opening the door.
"No, no Cloud. You paid for this room, so you take the bed.", Y/N insisted.
"Well...uh...we could...share it.", Cloud offered slowly. Y/N blushed hard, the thought of sharing a bed with Cloud Strife was putting thoughts in her head that are not for innocent minds.
"Uh, sure. If you don't mind.", Y/N said softly.
"Of course not.", Cloud said, walking to one side of the bed. He removed his armor so he was left in his trousers and shirt (and socks). Y/N set her sword against the wall on her side of the bed and hung her jacket on the coat hanger. She got into bed and scooted over to the edge of her side as much as she could. Cloud got in and laid flat. Y/N soon fell asleep.

~Y/N's Dream~ (to be honest, I don't know where to start it. So, it's gonna start like this.)

Y/N opens the door to 7th Heaven, expecting to see Tifa mixing up drinks as the Avalanche members laugh and talk up a storm. Instead, she was greeted by dead silence.
"Hello, Y/N", a familiar voice said within the shadows of the empty bar.
"That voice...", Y/N started as the voice stepped out of the shadows and into the dim light, seeping through the windows. The voice belonged to a 6'7" being, who should be dead.
"Sephiroth...where is everybody? What did you do?", Y/N growled through gritted teeth.
"Let me show you.", Sephiroth answered, and with a wave of his hand, the scenery changed. It was gruesome. Y/N looked around and saw the bodies of her beloved friends, dead. Except Cloud, who was barley alive.
"Cloud! What did you do?!", Y/N called out to Cloud before turning to Sephiroth, shooting daggers at him with her eyes. Wishing that the look she was giving him would just kill him already.
"Oh, you need not to worry. I had nothing to do with this. Not this time.", Sephiroth stopped her.
"What?", Y/N questioned, not believing him.
"Did you really think you could have your brother back without a cost?", Sephiroth questioned.
"What are you...", Y/N started, not sure of what to say.
"Trust me, Y/N. I am the least of your worries. For now.", Sephiroth said, walking away.
"Even if the morrow is barren of promises, but nothing shall forestall my return.", another voice echoed throughout the place. Y/N gasped, looking up.

~End of Y/N's Dream~

Y/N sat up, breathing heavily. She looked over to Cloud, who was still sound asleep. It was just a dream, but for how long? The words kept echoing in her head.
'But nothing shall forestall my return.'

And the plot chickens! It's a short chapter but, I think it came out better than the last one. And it looks like they have a new enemy on their hands, do you guys know who it is? Let me know in the comments! Until next time, my friends!
