A/N: This chapter may be a little short and for that I'm sorry. I also apologize for such a slow update, school has just been kicking my ass this week. But I hope you enjoy my lovelies!!<3

He discarded the leftovers of the limb he had been picking at. Muzan looked down at the severed head of a young woman, a pitiful sight indeed. Normally he would have just absorbed the body but today he had been in the mood for something to snack on. The girl had been wearing a corps uniform which would indicate that she was stronger than the average human; a more fitting meal for the king. The girl, along with the other handful of slayers he had eaten during his stay at Kumori Village had been nowhere near a Hashira's level of swordsmanship. They had all died quick pitiful deaths, not one had lasted more than 10 minutes. The record was probably like 3, the little shit kept running around like a madman. However, the Demon King's itching for a good fight hadn't ceased just yet.

Kibutsuji was at Kumori Village to investigate the whereabouts of the blue spiderlily. He had arrived around a week ago on suspicion of a local knowing its location. He hadn't found anything on it yet and it was beginning to frustrate the Demon Lord. The man had always been short tempered, so in a fit of rage he decided to wreak a little havoc on the secluded area. Obviously he started out by slaughtering a few wealthy locals (He needed the money anyway, so it worked out in his favor) when the slayers finally showed up he just murdered them too. By now he had already devoured over 50 people. It was only fair he started to grow tired of how easily they died.

Seeing how he had devoured so many people, he shouldn't have to wait too long before they eventually send out a Hashira. Knowing this fact he wasn't in a rush to waste his time and energy on these pathetic humans. They were killed when it was convenient for him to do so, and he took his time doing it. His preferred way to kill these things was to tear them limb from limb when he could spare the time. If not he would just absorb them and be done with it. He was still here for a reason after all.

Word travels fast in small places. It hadn't taken long before the word demon was flying around the streets, especially at night. The word was most often accompanied by the sound of weeping or angered yells. It occasionally made Kibutsuji give a rare smile.

The Demon Lord wandered back down the mountains of Kurai heading back to the village. The sun would be coming up within the next few hours. He entered the village again and made his way over to the familiar building he was staying at. After getting inside the house Muzan went straight for the bookshelf.

After many books being skimmed over for any hints as to where the special spider lily may be hidden the demon gave up for now. He would get back to it later but now it was time to listen in on his surroundings.

The village was relatively lively during all hours so finding conversations to listen in on was not difficult no matter the time of day. It was almost too convenient, it would be too easy if the lily was located in the area. The Demon King had already doubted the flower was in a place like this, he was merely confirming he didn't miss any crucial piece of information he could get his hands on. Currently all he was hearing was the sob stories from the families of people he killed. That was to be expected. Humans are weak and full of those disgusting emotions.

Just as he was about to stop listening to the nonsense outside he heard a voice speak.

"The visitor who arrived last night was asking about the recent disappearances. I guess word really does get around quick."

This caught the Demon King's attention. Sure there had been many times when the disappearances were brought up, however it was never like this.

"Yes, I hear he is asking about where they occurred most often and at what times. Do you think he may be one of them demon slayer folk? You know, the ones that we heard about as kids when the elders told us stories."

"Don't be ridiculous. Demons aren't real and neither are the slayers. It's just something the elders told us so we would think about running off at night."

"Ya, you're probably right. Anyways did you hear abo-..." The voices became more distant and eventually couldn't be heard anymore. It didn't matter anymore Muzan already had enough to go off of. This information could only mean one thing. Another pesky Demon Slayer. Just another bump in the road Muzan would have to run over.

"How incredibly troublesome." He said to himself as his eyes gave a long roll. With the amount of Demon Slayers he has eaten with little effort he hoped it would be different this time. The village was already boring enough with its lack of knowledge about the flower. If he has to slaughter another feeble little slayer he might just destroy the whole village while he is at it.

Muzan turned around and walked back over to the tall bookshelf. It was wide, stretching from wall to wall and had a large variety of literature to pick from. The black haired male plucked a random book from the top shelf. He flipped through the pages of endless words, his eyes looking for anything that stood out. When nothing did, he threw it on the ground amongst the others.

He grew impossibly more irritated as time passed by. First it had been the failures of the Lower Kizuki. Then the lack of evidence about the Blue Spiderlily. Now he finds out another Demon Slayer that is unworthy of his time has shown up! After he kills this pathetic waste of space he will be returning to the infinity castle or maybe go on a rampage just because he fucking can.
