Luz's POV
Luz, Luz?’’ The words rang in my ear as I looked up. My teacher stared at me,the whole class turned around to see what I was doing, I didn't even know what I was doing. I daydreamed about the day me and Amity called our relationship to an end.
The class turned slowly. I gave all of them the look, my eyes gazed around the room as they landed on one specific person..Amity, Her violet hair was easy to tell from the class of maybe around twenty four.
The teacher turned around and continued on the lesson. I've missed Amity so much, and I wish we could be together but it’s for the best. It’s my fault we're here anyway.
The class seemed to take years to finish, constantly watching the clock tick by as I tried to take notes seeing the back of Amity’s head feeling overwhelmed with guilt. Abruptly the bell finally rang, ending class.
I got up pushing my chair back with some force that it hit the desk behind me. Matt's desk, he was already gone thank god, I stood as I pushed my chair back into the desk as I walked out of the class into the busy weird hallway. It wasn't a surprise if I were not to see Gus and Willow.
“Luz!’’ Willow called out. They both came running at me. ‘’How was class?’’
Asked Gus. ‘’It was good!” To be honest it wasn’t really, besides for the fact that I saw her another time again, but i was practically falling asleep, I haven't gotten much rest lately. ‘’Gus and I were thinking about going out after school.” Willow said.
‘’I’d love to but I’ll have to go to work’’ I said looking up at the clock, 3:47 Work started in ten minutes! ‘’I have to go!’’ I exclaimed reaching for my backpack, as Gus let out a sigh
‘’Can't you just miss work?’’ I turned my head to him ‘’Are you stupid? I'll get fired!’’ I scolded as Gus crossed his arms, I waved goodbye and ran to the coffee shop, I saw the words of the coffee shop in the distance, there was ‘Sunset cafe’
