The Dragon Keepers (Loonnngg Hiatus)

Chapter 3

They landed with a thud, As Shard flapped her wings in repulse. "You humans are so challenging... how do you get around without wings?" She asked, her voice calmer. "Well, we mustn't dawdle. The other Queens and Kings wish to meet with you."

"Your... majesty... if I may ask, who's the King of your kind?" Ann asked softly.

"That shadow that went inside your friend," Shard said, flicking her tail at Freeze. "Is King Alezi. Your friend is lucky... He has been blessed with everlasting health... in our world."

Freeze blinked, then nodded a thanks to the shadows. The shadows seemed to nod back. The shadows went away from Shard, and appeared as a shape of a dragon.

"It's truly odd, since we're just friendly with each other, not arranged by the bonding of love, "The shadow rasped, as the others blinked. "So I truly shouldn't be king of-"

"Alezi, we're in a rush, we have to hurry!" Shard hissed, poison flooding out of her jaws like wildfire.

Alezi shurgged, before vanishing, and reappearing by Shard.

"Alright, everyone, on my back, now," Ordered Shard, bending so they could get on. The climbed onto her back, ashe Shard, roared, "HOLD ON!"

She leaped into the sky, wings outstretched. She spiraled downwards, before quickly coming back up, gaining speed. Her wings looked like clouds in the wind, beating faster, faster, faster....

Shard spiraled down, and landed on a waterfall. Dragons of different sizes were muttering among themselves, before coming to order when Shard walked up to them.

"Is everyone here?" She asked a dragon, who nodded quickly. "Very well, let the meeting start!" She flapped to a stone, smaller ones all around it. She motioned for the humans to follow, and she sat upon the rock.

" Sky, Fire, Air, Earth, Water, Shadow, and Storm... yes, we're all here...." Hissed Shard to herself, and looked to Ann. "Watch how they speak... you must learn the dragon tongue."

She nodded, and whispered to the others, "Ya'll do the same!" Freeze stayed silent, Jamie rolled her eyes, and Red and Trixie nodded eagerly.

"Shard, are these them?" Asked a male dragon with wide wings and blakc pupils, seeming larger then life.

"Yes, Cloud. Cloud, Sun, Flame, Magma, Breeze, Wind, Ivy, Batora, Ripple, Icicle, Shade, Eclipse, Thunder, Lightning... Meet Ann Silvershade, Freeze Coldpoppy, Red Sunray, Jamie Evergreen, and Trixie Frost... our saviors!"

All dragons that were there looked at them, before one by one, kneeling, a bow.

Ann raised a hand, and winked to her friends. "I got this," She whispered, before looking to the dragons. "EVERYONE," She bellowed, motioning for them to rise. "WE HAVE COME TO SAVE YOU! CLOUD AND SUN OF SKY, FLAME AND MAGMA OF FIRE, BREEZE AND WIND OF AIR, IVY AND BATORA OF EARTH, RIPPLE AND ICICLE OF WATER, SHADE AND ECLIPSE OF SHADOW, THUNDER AND LIGHTNING OF STORM, AND SHARD AND ALEZI OF CHAOS, WE HAVE COME TO SAVE YOU FROM PERIL, WE HAVE COME TO HELP WITH YOUR PROBLEMS!"

"But... Silvershade, was it? " Asked one of the dragons, known as Shade. "How can you and your... pint sized friends help us? The Shadow dragons can solve this themselves!" He roared, as the dragon next to him nodded.

"The Chaos dragon can kill you with just a thought!" Countered Ann with a smile, shutting the Shadow Dragons up.

"Woah, Ann, just a thouhgt?" Whispered Jamie into Ann's ear. Ann nodded, and replied, "Yeah, Shard told me."

"THEY HAVEN"T HAD THE GUTS TO DO IT YET!" Laughed Eclipse, her talons scratching the stone. "I'd love to see them try."

"So be it," Shard growled,  and muttered something under her breath. Eclipse just smirked, before her talons went to her throat, and she groaned, before falling limp to the ground.

"Eclipse!" Shade said, checking Eclipse's body, before snarling. "Shadow dragons, back to the tribe! Everyone can solve this by themselves...." The Shadow dragons nodded, and flew off in a shadowy cloud, leaving the others to gape at Shard, in fear.
