Shortcomings, low salaries
Burned out workers
Fat bellied mayors
What a beautiful country
A story of you and me
Rainbows and poverty
Cupcakes and misery
Butterflies and polluted cities
Welcome to the Philippines
The land of smiles and hospitality
Would instead go into dept than send you away
Ignore the needy and would rather pray
People, people
Friends, families, and couples
Open-minded and welcoming
Just don't show your true personality
The government's not homophobic
But a gay couple is sick

Children on the streets
Smiles, showing their teeth
But an empty stomach
And knowledge lacking
What a beautiful country
