Mark watched as a beaming Haechan entered the office.
The conversation he overheard replayed in his mind. Over and over again. Well. He only did hear the first question.
Haechan.
The two men continued to do their work in silence.

Mark's leg bounced on the floor as he tried to concentrate on his work.
"Are you ok? You seem a little stressed."
"I'm fine." Mark snaps back the the younger boy making him shrink into his chair. Mark immediately feels bad, the latter looks away and back at his desk.
Great.
The awkward silence consumes the room. Only the flipping of paper, scribbling of pens and typing on keyboards could be heard for the next 5 hours.

At 6 there was a soft knock on the door.
"Come in." The two CEOs voiced in unison. Their eyes met before both parties quickly looked away. Jaemin poked his head through a gap in the door to be met by a scowling Mark and a grinning Haechan. He gulped as Haechan beckoned him to come in.

"Hey Jaemin~ Do you need anything?", Haechan's buttery voice filled the room.
"Umm... I was wondering if... you would like to grab some food with me later?"

A loud smack of a book on the table made both boys look towards the older CEO in surprise.
Confused, Haechan chose to ignore it and continue the conversation. "Of cour-"
"No.", again, both boys turned to look at Mark. Jaemin made himself visibly smaller under the harsh gaze of his boss.
"Sorry Minnie. Maybe next time. I think Mark needs help unpacking boxes."
"Boxes?"
Mark rolled his eyes and interrupted the two again. "At home. I need my husband's assistance with the furniture." Blood rushed to Haechan's face at his words as Jaemin held back a chuckle but he couldn't help but let out a small smile.
"What's so funny?" Mark fumed.
"No-nothing. It's just that its so cute how you are so protective of Mr. Lee. Don't worry, I don't plan on ruining anything. I hope the two of you live a very long life together." Haechan's face turned even redder than before at his new friend's words. He gave Haechan a quick squeeze on his hand, bowed and left.
Donghyuck quickly packed his bags and excused himself.
"I'll take my leave first. Good night.", he bowed to the older and quickly left.
"Wait! Let's take my car.", Donghyuck stiffened up at the mention of a car. He hated car rides. Not because of an accident or anything quite so unfortunate. But because...

My parents used to scold me on the car rides from places to places.
Transits from home to school started off nice. I was thankful that my parents made time to send me to school. However, it turned into a mess quite quickly.
Donghyuck did you see that kid with the huge project? It looks so much better than yours.
Donghyuck can I see your report card? An A minus? Have you not been paying attention in classes?
Donghyuck why can't you be better than your classmates?
Donghyuck you idiot. Stop dragging our name through the dirt. You need to stop eating so much and study more.
Donghyuck stop playing with that Minhyung kid. He looks poor.

Little Donghyuck had been berated with years and years of daily insults that had torn his little heart into pieces. He never told anyone, not even Minhyung. All because he was embarrassed. He knew the things they said to him had been true to some degree. If not they wouldn't say it. Right?

"No thanks. It's ok. I'll walk." Donghyuck managed to say causing Mark to raise an eyebrow.
