Showtime! (Rui x Tsukasa)

More work

There was no school that day so Emu, Rui, and Nene decided to meet up at Rui's house before practice so they could work on their show. The Virtual Singers said they wanted to work on something on their own so they could get more work done in a shorter amount of time. Since Emu lived farther away from Rui than Nene, she left home early and actually ended up arriving a few minutes before she was supposed to. Emu made her way into Rui's room to find Rui doing maintenance on Robo-Nene, crouched on the floor to get a good angle. Welp, that means no tackle-hugging, you're safe for now, Rui.

"Rui!" Emu instead just ran up beside him. Rui looked over at Emu who was leaning over above him.

"Ah, Emu, you're here early."

"Yep! I knew that Nene lived riiiight over there!" Emu pointed in the direction of Nene's house. "So I wanted to make sure I got here super duper early to surprise her!"

"Well, since you're here, how about we get a head start? I have a few things you can test out for me." Rui pushed one of the many buttons on his wall and a machine fell from the ceiling between Rui and Emu.

"Yay! What does this do?!"

"It's nothing too exciting, all it does is shoot objects. It has the base of a confetti cannon but you can switch out the nozzle to use different items instead. I was hoping we could use this at some point so why not let you do the first test?" Rui handed Emu a button.

"Can I press it now?! Can I?!" Emu had stars in her eyes as she bounced on her toes.

"Of course." With that, Emu pressed the button firing glitter and confetti towards the door. Just as the contents were about to hit their target, the door opened and Nene walked in, greeted by a face full of confetti.

"AHH!"

"Nene! I'm so so so sorry!!" Emu ran up to Nene, hugging her. Nene pulled some glitter out of her mouth and wrapped her arms around Emu.

"Don't worry about it." Nene assured Emu. "Rui, what did you do that for..." Nene stated with annoyance in her voice.

"You know, it's not very nice to accuse someone like that. Emu was the one who pressed the button after all~"

"As if you didn't set her up." Nene teased. The three ended up laughing it off and decided to get to work.

There were a few things they all agreed would be best worked without the help of the Virtual Singers. There were a few scenes that were just Rui, Emu, and Nene and if any Vocaloids joined the scene at some point it would be easy to adjust in later practices. Another thing was Rui wanted to make sure all of the needed props were working as intended so it would be best if he was at home and had easy access to any tools he would need. Emu and Nene agreed to help him test anything that requires another actor to test while they were there.

"Why don't we go over this part? Len is present in this scene but he has been doing well during practice so I don't think his absence today would effect him." Rui suggested, holding the script and pointing at a page. Emu and Nene agreed.

After a few hours of working on different scenes and props, the group noticed that they only had a half hour left until they had to meet Tsukasa at the Wonder Stage for practice.

"Ah, it seems you all arrived at the same time! Hahah! But I made it first! How fitting of a star like myself!" Tsukasa exclaimed as the rest of the group walked toward the stage. Tsukasa was posing with his arms in the shape of a scale and Emu took that as a chance to attack! She ran up to him and hugged him, almost knocking him over with the force of impact.

"I got you too!" Emu detached herself from Tsukasa.

"You couldn't have jumped on Nene instead...? I could have gotten killed you know!" Tsukasa stated the sentence with annoyance but it grew to sound like anger. If it was anger it didn't feel serious as Emu just laughed.

Rui smiled as he watched Tsukasa's face go from annoyed to his normal smile.

The group decided to start practice.
