It was mid morning the next day and the sun was relentless. It was the perfect opportunity for some fun on the riverbank where the whole group had settled in with their blankets, towels, umbrellas and the lot. Becky was lucky to have parents that were somewhat progressive or all the skin the young ones were showing would be a problem. The guys were already splashing around in their swimming shorts, while Becky was stretched out on a towel a few feet away from her parents, a white and elegant one piece covering her small frame with a sarong to match.
Freen had been delayed in finding her bathing suit, but as soon as she approached like a sun goddess dressed in a black two-piece with a tiny pair of shorts hanging low on her hips, all heads turned her way. Seng had to slip lower into the cold water to maintain his composure, while even Richie had to pick his jaw up off the ground. Freen enjoyed the attention, it was a big reason why she enjoyed working at the bar. There was something just so empowering about being so desirable. Though she was glad she was wearing her sunglasses so that no one could really see that she only had eyes for one person. And if she was eventually going to win Becky's parents' favour, she had better start.
Greeting them gracefully for the first time that day, she went out of her way to ensure that they had food and drink at hand and were as comfortable as could be. Then she asked for sunblock so that she could take care of Becky's skin for her, ensuring them that Becky's wellbeing was incredibly important to her.
Becky was cursing under her breath while Freen applied the lotion all over her small body, using every opportunity she had to secretly slip in a kiss or an accidental touch or brush, or even as much as a warm breath. Everything Freen did turned her on. And the way she was looking like a fallen angel, good lord, how can one person be so utterly, insanely gorgeous? Becky was so ready to kiss her on the spot, parents or not.
However, the ultimate decision was that the time was not yet right. "Damn Freen, can I be next? This sun's pretty hot!" Seng charmingly gestured at Freen as he spoke about the sun. It was not lost on Becky and it immediately clouded her features, the fact that he had the nerve to interrupt.
"Why don't you go ask your lover?" Freen said with a grin, then nodded to Richie. "Didn't you two drink from the waterfall of love?"
Seng laughed nervously, then waved his hand flippantly. "Oh that stuff doesn't really work."
Freen paused from where she was rubbing lotion into Becky's shoulders and hooked her chin over the one shoulder. "Oh I don't know about that..." She continued to give Becky a knowing sideways glance.
"Oookay, so, before things get weird, so you girls want to come play some water games?" Seng folded his hands together as he eyed the girls somewhat suspiciously. He hoped to dear god that it was just her way of torturing him. That didn't explain Becky's defiance, however.
Agreeing, the three made their way back to the water where Richie was waiting and spent the next couple of hours competing in as many childish games they could come up with, sometimes solo and other times teamed up. It was honestly some of the most fun the girls had experienced in a long time, and for Freen to realise that she was having special bonding time with Becky's parents and brother was beyond anything she ever thought would be possible. Their closeness was clearly everything to Becky and Freen would never want to do anything to jeopardize that relationship. At the same time, however, she would not stop fighting for Becky or pursuing her, whether her parents liked it or not.
Becky was hers. And her heart belonged to Becky.
After some time the parents returned to their campsite for a rest, while the kids wore themselves out. The sun was setting, though it was still fairly light and warm outside. The four were sharing some drinks and cracking jokes as they lay spread out on a blanket and several towels. By now the bunch were starting to slip on more clothes as the air cooled. Becky donned just an oversized white hoody that Freen immediately recognised and grinned with pride when she saw it. Freen herself pulled on some tracksuit pants and a black hoodie and cap to match.
Even Seng and Richie made attempts to look at least half attractive, not to be outdone by the girls. Richie didn't really know who he was bothering for, not about to join the clear war between his best friend and little sister over Freen. So he figured, if he can't join in on playing the game, maybe he could control the game. He had a hunch that his sister was being a whole lot dishonest when it came to Freen and he had to figure things out. Otherwise, if that was not the case, he had to help his buddy land the girl.
This would be interesting.
More drinks were shared and stories were told that left the whole gang in stitches, and the more they enjoyed their time together, the more trusting and uninhibited they became. Richie knew when it was time.
"Okay okay, this is a classic, guys. You do not say no to this game. You will forever be shunned if you refuse to play this absolute game changer!" Richie paused to built the suspense, then finally when everyone was getting restless, he announced, "Truth or Dare". The whole group groaned in unison, but there was no turning back now. The mood was set, the stars were out, the fire was going and vibe was relaxed.
They made use of an empty cooler bottle to decide whose turn it was. Richie gave it the first spin and when it landed on Seng. "Dare!" Richie chuckled. "I dare you to give Freen just a peck on the cheek. That's it."
Seng was acting like an overeager puppy, while Freen felt her stomach drop a little. She really hoped that this game wouldn't end up messing with her and Becky's relationship. What Richie wanted to test though, was Becky's reaction. And she was about as predictable as the fact that the sun would rise the next day. That stormy look settled in on her brows again and she got quiet and sulky. It was only when Freen looked back at her after the kiss that she managed to force a smile for her supposed friend.
Seng spin the bottle and it landed on Becky, something that made Freen's heart skip a beat. She was both eager and nervous of what Seng might have planned. "Truth." Becky replied. She wasn't too worried about Seng asking a question she couldn't dodge.
"Have you ever... Been to a strip club?" Seng grinned but earned himself a smack on the shoulder by Richie. Becky simply shrugged and said "Yes." Seng's eyes went wide and he pushed, "Wait, male or female strippers?" This time Freen gave him a bit of a shove and a disapproving look. "You only get one question!"
Continuing immediately, Becky spun the bottle and this time it landed on Freen. Both women's hearts lurched forward, the tension immediately palpable between them which could even be felt by the guys. "I'll take the truth."
Becky swallowed and thought hard about what she really wanted to know, what she had always wanted to know. "Do you believe in soulmates?" She breathed softly, afraid to hear the answer.
"I never did. I thought it was the biggest load of new age crap ever." She shrugged her shoulders as she stared wistfully into the flames, but then she cast her eyes at Becky and continued, "I guess I just had not met my soulmate yet. Now I believe..." Her smile was that of one that held the greatest love in her hand, her heart exposed on her sleeve.
Becky's chest burned as her cheeks turned the same colour as the flames. She tried to suppress the smile on her face, but it was becoming impossible. Even Seng was catching on now. He shared a knowing glance with Richie. "Come on Freen, it's your turn."
Freen snapped out of her thoughts about forever with Becky when she heard her name and nodded as if she was present the whole time. She spin the bottle and it landed on Richie. "Truth". Freen though for a moment, then grinned. "Okay, is there anything that would cause you to stop loving Becky as much as you do?" Richie immediately caught onto what Freen was doing and he admired her for it. "Absolutely not. She could be a purple alien that excretes slime and I'd still love her." He smiled warmly at his little sis and gestures his love for her. It made her feel safe and relaxed.
Richie spun the bottle and it landed on Becky. This was it. Captain Richie had to get this boat sailing. "Dare." She knew her brother was smart, so she dared not choose truth. She wasn't expecting what was to come, however.
"I dare you to kiss Freen, but like a full on 5 second kiss on the lips." Becky's jaw hit the ground, though Freen couldn't say she was too surprised. Becky's brother was indeed a smart one.
Becky crawled towards Freen, bashful and awkward, until she looked up into Freen's eyes in front of her. Those eyes alone told her, "I'm yours." She leaned in and made deep contact, folding her lips over Freen's repeatedly, her tongue slipping in once or twice. The kiss was intense and amazing and impossible to fake. The guys stood there laughing, shaking their heads. "Okay, best friends." Richie laughed, "We're going to bed. "Damn Becky, stole her right out from my hands." Seng walked past and made a mock dramatic show of things. "But for real though, you two are hot as hell and it's all cool, no one is going to care."
With the guys gone back to camp, it was just Becky and Freen left on the river bank, laughing at what just happened. "How did you even think we could pull this off?" Freen shook her head at Becky while the smaller woman shook with laughter. "I don't know! I knew Richie would probably be okay, it's just my parents I'm a little worried about."
"Well I will continue to try and impress them, even if I have to pull extra shifts at the bar to help with the dowry." Freen joked while sliding her arms around her girl. "Oh we're getting married now?"
Freen avoided the question excellently by going in for a hot kiss instead, causing Becky's legs to shake a bit. Freen's lips always sent her into a frenzy. Once slowly having pulled apart and nuzzling into one another, they turned their gaze to the stars, both reminded about soulmates.
