Kai and Hoodie had been at each other's throats this past month. They recently broke up because of Kai's anger issues. Kai had started bringing other guys into the gym. Also, he was about to be fired, but despite their recent debuts, Hoodie was not about to let that happen.

"Fuck off," Kai snarled, pushing Hoodie. "Get the fuck out."

"You'll be fired if you're fired," Hoodie said. "You're gonna-" But before he could finish, Kai pushed his way past him and trudged home as Hoodie followed him.

Kai sat down on his bed, wondering what was wrong with him. Why was he getting fired? "Fuck this!" Kai yelled at the top of his lungs, hands curling into fists.

He felt the door open. "Why are you screaming in here?" Hoodie comes around the corner.

"Don't talk to me like that. I'm getting fired because you're being an asshole!" Kai yelled back, getting up from the bed and punching Hoodie.

Hoodie stared at Kai, barely flinching from the impact. "Don't talk to me like my parents!"

Kai punched Hoodie again, knocking him to the floor. His blood boiled, and he set his jaw, feeling his face go red. He realized his knuckles were slightly bleeding, but he didn't care; He was too angry.

"What the fuck is wrong with you, Kai?" Hoodie asked, staring at Kai's bloody knuckles. "How do you know you're getting fired? I only told your ex!"

Kai stared at him, confused.

"What do you mean?" Kai asked, glaring at him with wide eyes. "Don't you dare bring her into this?! What do you know?"

"Me and your Ex had a few fights. She told me, and that's all I know!" Hoodie smiled, but Kai just felt even more angry and confused.

"You fucked up my life, and I fucking hate yours!" Kai screamed. He was close to getting a car, his one and only dream, and then he got fired...Hell, he couldn't even get a real job because of his criminal record!

Hoodie just looked at him, shocked. "What the hell! Why can't you see your feelings for once? You like me, don't you?"

"Get out of my house." Kai hissed, looming over his ex-boyfriend. Hoodie flinched, his smile fading. He struggled to his feet and stumbled out the door. Kai slammed it closed after he had left.

"Fuck!" Kai yelled, collapsing onto the floor, cupping his face in his bleeding hands. Tears threatened to leak out of his eyes, but he blinked them away. "This shit's stressful."

His mom opened his door. "What's with all the yelling?"

Kai stared up at his mom, quickly standing. "Mind your own damn business." He noticed his mom's eyes drift down to his bleeding knuckles.

"This is why I didn't want you to get into boxing! It's dangerous. I just-" His mom started.

Kai stared at his bloody fists. "Shut up, mom. You've controlled my life since I was born and all you do is criticize me for all my choices in life. I'm moving out!"

Kai grabbed his backpack and stuffed whatever he could in it. He was sick of his fucking mom and this fucking house. He swung the backpack over his shoulders.

"Wait, Kai-"

Kai ignored his mom's protests. He was going to go back to the gym and get his job back.

Kai walked to the gym. It wasn't too far away from his home, so it was pretty easy. He navigated down the halls until he reached the boss's room. Taking a deep breath, he opened the door and stepped inside. Instantly, he regretted it.

"Hey, funny seeing you here!" Hoodie's voice rang out, sounding harsh yet sweet.

"Shut it. All I need is my job back, okay? I just ran away from my mom's house and I have nowhere to go." Kai responded. "Plus, why are you here?"

Hoodie scoffed, ignoring Kai's question, and left Kai and the boss alone to talk.

"I guess I could lend you your job back," The boss spoke. "Just stop fuckin' around, alright? I don't want any more fights around here."

"Thanks boss, this helped me out a lot. All I need is a place to stay. I'm just gonna ask around." Kai responded, sighing in relief.

"I have an extra guest room in my house if you wanna stay," Hoodie's monotone voice came from behind Kai. Kai wheeled around and caught sight of his boyfriend. He came back.

"Yeah, no. I'd rather eat my own shoe than be with you." Kai snapped.

"Dang. Harsh much...So what are you gonna do? Kick my ass or eat your shoe?"

Kai tried to appear unaffected, but he felt his cheeks flush with anger and dread. This guy was acting like a clown, and he couldn't figure out why...but fuck it. He would know by the end of the day.

"I know exactly how to kick your ass, and my shoe tastes totally fucking sweet." Kai retorted smartly.

"Take this fight somewhere else before I fire you both!" The boss ordered. Kai flinched and slunk out of the boss's office, Hoodie following. He wasn't going to take any more chances.

Kai walked outside, taking a breath of the cold fall air. It was getting dark out, and he had nowhere to stay. He sighed. Why had he let his anger take the best of him? Today fucking sucked. Suddenly, he heard a honk behind him. He turned around and caught sight of a gray car, with Hoodie in the driver's seat. The window of the car rolled down, and Hoodie stuck his head out. When he spoke, his voice was surprisingly gentle.

"Are you okay?" He called. Kai looked down, feeling his throat tighten at the question. The answer was, he didn't know.

"Wanna get in the car? It's warm in here," Hoodie continued, head tilting hopefully. Kai hesitated, then leaped towards the car, swinging open the passenger door and flinging himself inside. He let himself warm up in the seat, closing his eyes in relief. When he opened them, he saw Hoodie staring at him. For the first time in a while, Kai noticed Hoodie's dark green eyes. They're so...Beautiful.
