"HOW MUCH LONGER TILL WE LEAVE?" tilly groaned, dragging her feet as the walked through the halls of their prison- i mean high school.

"it's only second period, babe. four more to go." cameron sighed, linking her arms with the girl.

"i like love that we get out earlier for senior year, but like ew why are we here?" tilly continued, looking down at her watch to see who had texted her when she felt it buzz.

"what do you have 3rd? i know you're going to english now." she explained and tilly scrunched you her nose and pulled out her phone to check her schedule.

"i think photo? no i got music. photo is sixth." she pointed out and her phone buzzed again.

"oh yay we got photo together, i'll meet you at lunch yeah?" cam asked and tilly nodded, unlinking their arms and moving towards the other side of the hallway.

"same table?"

"yes ma'am." cam fake saluted and grinned before turning on her heels and walking away. tilly went on her phone and opened the door to her english class, already checking out for the day despite it only being morning.

cameron on the other hand was just walking tilly to class, which means she had to rush all the way to the other side of the school to get to her economics class on time.

when she walked in just as the bell rang she looked around for an empty seat next to someone she knew. the only one there either way was next to jordan sterling, the life long crush she had since her middle school days.

emphasis on had. every since she left junior year she hadn't thought about him once. and seeing him smiling up at her when she asked if she could sit in the empty seat next to him she felt nothing.

"how was your summer?" jordan asked as the class waited for their teacher to get situated.

"it was actually really good. kind of miss it for the first time ever." she laughed and he just nodded.

"i saw you went to LA that's actually so sick. look at you miss famous." he laughed and she just shrugged.

jordan and cam were both apart of the same friend group, which was she had kept a crush on him for so long before. they all sat at lunch together and went out to hang out. though in that friend group it was always tilly and cam who were a little separated because of their personal friendship.

"yeah i went to go see some friends out there," she paused, wanting to continue but she didn't really feel the need too. jordan didn't need to hear all about her summer with her friends. "what about yours?"

"same old stuff like every other summer, nothing new. i like this new found confidence by the way." he waved his hand towards her, gesturing said change. cam just furrowed her eyebrows in slightly confusion.

"what do you mean?"

"the posts, youtube, and you're not as quiet as you usually are. i like it it's cool."

"oh uh thank you." she smiled slightly before turning up to the front and paying attention to the teacher who started introducing himself.

cam tapped away on her phone as she walked into the lunch room. nessa had texted asking how her first day was going and she was quickly responding before one of the teachers caught her on her phone. they usually weren't roaming the hallways or cared, but on the first day of school they were always way too strict.

when she sent the message she got a facetime call from matt, which she decided to quickly answer since she had her headphones on. a quick call couldn't hurt.

"bernard what do you need?" she asked, waving at the phone first before putting it down so it wasn't obvious.

"nothing i just called to check on you." he spoke, and he sounded like he just woke up. when she looked down at the phone to actually see him, she found him curled up, obviously under his sheets with his eyes barely open.

"did you just wake up?"

"yeah, how's hell- sorry i meant school." he jokes and she just rolled her eyes before opening the doors to the lunch room.

"it's oka— ow." she bumped into someone dropping the phone and whatevr was in the hands of the other person. "i am so sor—"

"watch where you're goi—"

both girls looked up and just found it to be their best friend. tilly erupted into laughter when she saw cam there and picked up her phone. cam did the same and just stood up and actually walked into the lunch room with tilly by her side.

"ronnie you okay?" she heard matt asked and she went to look down and respond but she was met with chris instead. he just waved at her and said something but she couldn't hear.

"what in the world—"

"what the fuck why is this ugly thing on my screen?" tilly teased, and matt still heard her through the headphones.

"tell her i said fuck you."

"ohhh wrong phones." cam understood before switching phones with tilly. "why are you on face time with chris?"

"she's on facetime with chris?" matt asked but cam was too focused on tilly to respond.

"yeah he called me. why are you on face time with matt?" she raised her eyebrow and cameron narrowed her eyes.

"fall."

"RONNIE!" matt screamed in her ear when the two girls made it to the table, which caused her to scream in fear of the loud noise and drop her phone on the table.

"cam what the fuck—" their friend tommy asked as he laughed when they all stopped their conversation to look at the girl.

"sorry sorry sorry- matt let me call you back when i get home." she kissed the camera of her phone before hearing him say a quick bye and then hanging up. "hey." she smiled up at her friends who all just blinked at her before laughing.
