Chapter 8: The feeling of fear

Hiyori left my room an hour before school starts so she can iron her school dress and get ready for school. After I woke up with Hiyori next to me, I had expected her to feel mad but she was rather understanding of the situation. What I didn't expect however was for her to ask me to lay back down with her. Are all girls really this comfortable with a guy laying next to them? Hmm, I wonder. 

I myself then get up to get ready for school. I eat the leftovers from the night before as breakfast and start making my way toward school. I again felt a lot of students from my class glaring at me, maybe they had seen Hiyori leave my room, well not like it mattered. 

When I arrived at class Sudou came up to me.

"Hey there, Ayanakouji."

"Hello, Sudou."

"Hey, so I saw this advertisement for this club of yours is this real?" He took out his phone and showed me the phone's screen.

"Yeah, it is real indeed. Are you interested in challenging me?"

"Well I might be interested, but tell me. How much did opening this club cost you?"

"About 300000 points?" As I said that the whole class who was busy talking with their friends suddenly stopped and looked at me. Soon I could hear them gossiping something like, "300000 points really?" or "How did he get that many points?" Well, I would be surprised too if I was in their place considering how most of them must've already spent half of their points.

"300000 points?? What are you made of money? How did you get that many points?"

"I supplied drugs to the 3rd years and they paid me."

"WHAAAT??"

"I'm kidding. I got the money because I made business with some senpais. Nothing illegal though."

"Ah, I see. So tell me what kind of things can I challenge you with?"

"You can challenge me in things like a fistfight, chess, anything study related, a race, or anything that requires physical capabilities."

"So no basketball? That's a pain in the butt. Though I can win against you in a fistfight for sure."

"Are you sure you aren't being overconfident?"

"Nah, I have been in a lot of fights in a school so I am quite sure about my skills. What about you? What experience do you have in fighting?"

"Nothing much, I did calligraphy and tea ceremony back in the days."

"Haha, anyways I'll see you after school I'll challenge you then."

"Alright." With that, he walked away to the restroom.

During the class, my neighbor Suzune was asking me a lot of questions about how I managed to get so many points but I ignored her because I didn't feel like answering. After School, I and Hiyori met each other in the school gym where the challenges were going to take place. I told Hiyori to turn on her phone's voice recorder whenever the deal of the challenge was being made and then we finally started the money-making.

The first students to challenge me were the 3 who I had taken money from by threatening to report to the school them harassing Sudou. 1 of the challenged me to a history quiz, and 2 of them challenged me to chess. All 3 of them lost and that meant 150000 points for me. They looked so mad I thought they were going to bite off their own skin. After losing they got up and started to leave but before leaving they said, "Wait till Nagumo gets here." I wonder who this Nagumo is so I ask Hiyori.

"Hiyori, do you know who Nagumo is?"

"Nagumo? I think he's the student council vice president."

"I see." Vice president huh? If I were to defeat him word would get out that the vice president lost to a 1st year and that would worsen his reputation. That would make my popularity skyrocket. Interesting.
