🌹The Red Rose Tyrant🌹 Chapter 6

After chasing Grim across the courtyard, Ace and Deuce finally catches him, looking at him with a smirk as Grim struggles in their arms.

"Man, I don't know how Angel deals with you Grim. You're heavy!" Ace complains as they wait for Angel to meet them.

"Mrrah! I've had it with these boring classes!" Grim yells, still trying to get out of their grip.

Angel approaches the trio and see that Ace and Deuce caught Grim, which she was again grateful for. She placed down their croissant and latte on a bench and called them out. "Ah! Thank you, guys, so much!" Ace and Deuce turned around and see her with their rewards. They head over to where she is and handed Grim to Angel, which he starts shaking in fear with the cold look she gives him.

"Grim..." She starts with Grim's ears being folded back in fear. "Why in the world would you do that?! Are you trying to get us expelled after everything the headmage said to us about 'not causing an incident'?! What were you thinking?! You should know better than to skip class. How else would you be the next archmage if you don't go to all your classes and pay attention?!"

While Grim is being scolded, he looks to Ace and Deuce, who only smirks at him with their reward for catching him. They mouthed a "Thank you!" At him, causing Grim to be angry at them but with Angel scolding him, he only had to shake in fear instead.

"Angel is quite scary when she's mad," Deuce says as he takes a sip of his latte, watching the girl scold Grim.

"Yeah...It's best we don't get on her bad side or we're just gonna end up as Grim instead," Ace agrees with Deuce.

After a few minutes, the four of them carry on with their schedule, attending their classes without Grim making a sound. After being scolded by Angel, he didn't want another one anytime soon and Angel kept a tight watch on him. Soon enough, it was time for lunch and the four headed to the cafeteria.

When the four of them reached the cafeteria, they were surprised at the sight. The mess they caused yesterday was no where to be found, including the chandelier which looks brand new hanging on the ceiling. The cafeteria was filling with students filling the tables, some sitting with their respected dorms whereas some were sitting with friends.

"Wooo! Lunchtime at last!" Grim exclaims on Angel's shoulders, happy again after being chased down. He drools as he looks at the buffet-style lunch table. "Whoa! They got some good-lookin' grub!"

Angel looks at the lunch line in awe. "Ooh, a buffet. That's fancy," she says as they get in line.

The three, Angel is getting hers and Grim's share, stand in line, looking at the food placed on the table. There was dishes with pasta, eggs, meat, fruits, vegetables, desserts, and even ingredients Angel couldn't even identify on the table, and just as Grim said, they do look delicious.

"Look how fluffy those omelets are! Ooh, grilled chicken! And a bacon-and-egg tart!" Grim lists as they all go down the line, collecting the dishes they wanted.

"Shhh! Dude, inside voices! Where was this energy earlier today?" Ace says as he tries to hush Grim, gather some attention from the other students.

As Angel passed the chicken to reach for some pasta, Grim taps her, getting her attention. "Angel, grab me the grilled chicken! There's only one left! And an omelet too. And that jelly-filled bread. Just fill your whole tray with 'em!" Angel sighs and grabs the chicken and puts it on the tray, and as she turns around, she bumps into someone with a tray in their hand. When Angel looked at the person she bumped into, she looked up to see two boys staring down at her, obviously mad at the fact that they were bumped into, but they stared at their tray as well.

"Hey! Watch where you're goin'!" One of them yelled at Angel, which made her flinch. They looked at their tray and started getting angry. "M-my carbonara! You broke the yolk!"

"Huh...?" Angel says as she stared at their tray. The carbonara they had on their tray was perfectly fine, but as they said, the yolk was broken from the encounter, spilling over the pasta.

"Whoa, that's messed up! Pokin' the egg in the best part!" The other boy says as he looks at both Angel and Grim, yelling at them. "You better make this right, pal!"

The other boy smirks, looking at the girl and what's on her tray. "I'm gonna need that grilled chicken of yours as compensation," he says, giving dirty looks at Angel while both her and Grim stare at the two in shock.

"Myah?! No way! Hands off the bird, chump! I need my protein, because I am HANGRY!" Grim yells at the two students. Around this time, students started to notice the commotion around the table and went over to see what was going on. Angel just looks down in embarrassment at Grim's actions.

"Hey! That's no way to speak to an upperclassman! Catch me outside and I'll teach you some respect!" The boy spoke, then looked at Angel. "And I'm sure I can show you a good time," he says with a smile, which just makes her very uncomfortable. Ace and Deuce stepped in, putting Angel behind them and Grim jumped off her shoulders to stand with them.

"Um, excuse me, sir, but it said in the handbook that fighting with magic was prohibited..." Deuce starts off, trying to calm the situation down.

The delinquent looked at Deuce with smirk on his face. "Fighting? You got it all wrong. This is just me helpin' ignorant freshmen to know their places," he says as he glances at Grim and Angel.

"Now, let's see just how many ways there are to skin a cat, heh," the other delinquent said, making Grim angry. Ace and Deuce glanced at Angel, signaling her to stay back so she doesn't get hurt, which she happily obliges, trying to get away from the dirty looks the two boys in front of them were giving her. Ace and Deuce watches while she gets a good distance away before Deuce pulls out his pen and Ace starts cracking his knuckles, with the other two boys laughing at them with their pens out.

"What are you gonna do? Come here and slap us?" They say to Ace who just smirks at them.

"Yeah, why not? You're scared?" He smirks and teases, causing the two upperclassmen to fire off some spells at the three of them.

With Grim's agile body, he was able to dodge the spells with ease, with Ace and Deuce following behind him. Apparently, the upperclassmen were shooting off spells that wasn't damage moving spells, but more of petty tricks, which Angel noticed from where she was standing. Deuce dodges one of the spells and was able to shoot of a small spell on his own, a gust of wind that knocked down one of the delinquents. As one of them fell, the other delinquent shoots out a ball of water, but only to be deflected by Grim's fireball, with both combining to form a sort of mist that blocked theirs and the students watching view. While the delinquent tries to adapt and figure out where they are, Ace sneaks up on him through the mist and punches him in the stomach, making the delinquent kneel over in pain. As the mist subsides, the other students looked at the fight in anticipation to see it continue but found out that the fight was already over with Grim, Ace, and Deuce standing in victory.
