Jennie and Min-a entered through the door. As expected, she saw the former master already seated in the living hall. She greeted him softly, "Grandpa."

The former master was used to seeing Jennie's spirited look. When he saw her looking spiritless, he could not help but ask anxiously, "Why are you looking so down? Did you hurt yourself?"

"No, I didn't hurt myself," Jennie sat opposite the former master with Min-a, "Those people who hunted me got injured, as well as a few others who were dragged down by me."

"Dragged down by you?"

Before the former master could ask anything in detail, Woobin had already entered with Xiao Jingyao. When he heard Jennie's words, his face darkened, "What happened?"

Jennie looked up, only to see the crowd was staring at her wide-eyed, waiting for her explanation. She heaved a sigh, and she explained the entire story.

Their expressions darkened when they heard her words. Woobin and the former master locked gazes. Then, he asked coldly, "Do you still remember what those people look like?"

Jennie nodded, "Yes, I do. But, I think those people might not show up any time soon in order to prevent becoming the Limelight. Even so, I think we could start with the person arrested. He's a useful source of clues. If we don't make good use of him, it would be a waste, right?"

The two nodded. Woobin turned around, and he looked at Xiao Jingyao, "Where's that man now?"

"He's being held in the police station."

Woobin cocked an eyebrow, "Did you lodge the police report?"

Xiao Jingyao did not answer. Instead, Jennie snapped in, "Uncle Xiao didn't call the police, it's one of my... a friend of mine who was coincidentally on that route, and he recognized me in the car. So, he lodged the police report. Luckily, he has called the police. Those people departed only when they heard the police siren."

Woobin did not say anything after Jennie said so.

Meanwhile, Min-a was happy upon hearing Jennie's words, "Your friend? Is that person a he or a she?"

"Male..."

As soon as she heard the person was a man, Min-a's eyes sparkled, "So, it's a he! Why haven't I heard about him from you before, Jennie? Is he good-looking? Does he have a pleasant personality? Is he married? If so, we owed him our gratitude. If he's free someday, invite him to our house. I'll personally prepare meals for him."

Jennie could not bear Min-a's sudden enthusiasm. She had wished to escape from that man, much less invite him to have a meal in her house!

Jennie had accidentally dug a hole and buried herself. She smiled dryly, and she said, "Mother, what are you thinking? We're just normal friends, and we've met only a few times."

"You can't be too certain about it. Your friend appeared just at the right time. He appeared when you were in danger on the road. This is fate! Let me tell you..."

Min-a was getting off-topic. Jennie felt helpless. She shifted her gaze, and she cast a glance at Woobin, seeking his help.

Woobin seemed to agree that it was inappropriate to continue with that topic. He faked a cough, and he forcefully switched the topic back, "Since that man is in the police station, it would be a bit troublesome. You have to keep an eye on him and deal with the police if need be. Try to think of a way to fish out information about the mastermind from that person."

Xiao Jingyao nodded in response to him.

Min-a was interrupted. She no longer insisted on planning to invite Jennie's friend to her house. As she was listening to their discussion, she seemed to have thought of something. She turned back. She looked at Jennie, and she asked, "Jennie, about Madam Manoban..."

Right after Min-a spoke, the crowd gathered their attention again.

"Madam Manoban? Which Madam Manoban?" The former master looked at the embarrassed Jennie with interest. He grinned as he asked.

"Who else could she be? She's Lisa's mother, the madam of the Manoban Family who often stays overseas," Min-a was more or less wary of the members of the Manoban Family due to Lisa. As such, she treated Shin-hye the same.

"So, it's her. Is she related to Jennie's incident?" Woobin furrowed his eyebrows deeply. His expression grew increasingly troubled.

"Not really. She... um... She was dragged down by me as well." Faced with the gossiping gazes from everyone, the corners of Jennie's lips twitched.

She truthfully told them everything from how she bumped into Shin-hye at Leo's kindergarten entrance, and under Shin-hye's lousy pleading, she gave in to her by letting her get into her car. little did they know they would encounter danger while they were on the way.

Of course, Jennie also inevitably mentioned the incident that happened inside the car. Shin-hye had heroically helped her, and she hurt herself. In fact, she was not that seriously injured.

After hearing Jennie's narration, some of them looked happy, some of them looked sorrowful, while some remained silent.

Woobin was happy because Shin-hye had not been seriously wounded. Otherwise, judging from how the current master of the Manoban Family valued his wife, the moment Shin-hye suffered any injuries in the car, regardless of whether this was Jennie's intention, they might be blamed, and Jennie's safety would be at stake.

Min-a was the sorrowful one. She had always wanted Jennie to cut ties with Lisa. However, his mother had protected Jennie once. In the future, would Jennie still be entangled with that rascal?

On the other hand, the former master did not show any expressions on his face. He looked to be deep in thought, and one was unable to see what he was thinking. However, if one were to watch him carefully, one could identify his ancient eyes were filled with a hint of glee as if he was waiting to watch a good show.

Woobin cleared his throat, breaking the awkward atmosphere as he said to Min-a, "Since Madam Manoban has lent help to Jennie today, you could bring some gift and express our gratitude in person."

Min-a hesitated. In the end, she nodded.

Jennie keenly felt the strange atmosphere in the living hall. She hesitated if she should inform all of them about her taking care of a certain one in the hospital tomorrow.

While she was caught in her dilemma, someone gave her the push so that she could not brush the matter off and pretended to know nothing about it.

"General Manager, don't you have anything else to say? For instance, tomorrow..."

Jennie fell speechless.

She swore she certainly saw a hint of glee in that man's eyes, who was hard on the outside but soft on the inside.

She should not have told him about this when they were on their way home. She had asked him to be her driver during this period of time!

"What's with tomorrow?"

Looking at Min-a's questioning glance, Jennie heaved a sigh. She blurted out the words as if she was destined to do so, "Tomorrow, I'm going to the hospital to take care of Lisa."

There was a dead silence in the living hall. After some time, a loud shriek rang throughout the entire main residence of the Kim family, "What?!"
