"Wake up! We are going to be late. You don't want to miss the newbies do you?"
Alexa half heard what ever her brother was shouting about, but she clearly heard the words late, and newbies. She reluctantly rolled out of bed and wandered into the kitchen.
"It is about time" Jessie said outraged that Alexa took so long.
Jessie was fully dress in his blue T-shirt and baggy jeans. His brown hair was combed back and his dark blue eyes staring me up and down.
"I am here what is so important" Alexa says putting a hand on her hip staring his pair of dark blue eyes down with her own
"What is so important is that they will be here any minute and you look like a mess" Jessie screams spitting all over Alexa's face. She wipes the spit from her face.
"Fine. You don't have to scream"
Before her twin could even think of an answer, Alexa storms from the room and up the stairs to the her room. She pulls on her own blue T-shirt and shorts. She tries and fails to de-friz her curly brown hair. After 10 minutes she gives up and heads down stairs with her bags.
Alexa has just reached the last step when there was a loud bang that echoed through the hall that confirmed the arrival of her friends.
Before Alexa set foot into the kitchen she was ambushed by her two best friends, Ruben, and Sofia.
"We are so excited for our first day aren't you?" Sofia say excitedly from somewhere bellow her mop of red hair
"Of course I am excited" Alexa says happily looking from Sofia's light gray eyes to Rubens bright green ones "what about you Ruben are excited?"
"Mhm" he nods messing up his already messy jet black hair with his hands a sure sign that he was nervous .
Alexa glances over at her brother to see if he is ready but instead, she see him making out with his girlfriend Jazmin.
"Get a room!" Alexa, Sofia, and Ruben all shout at the same time.
They spring apart. Both of them looking embarrassed they grabbed there bags without another word and headed towards the plate.
The plate is the thing the young elemest use to get to school. The plate is a large round metal disk about the size of a hola hop bolted to the floor.
Sofia stepped up on the plate and put her bags at her feet
"I will go first" she says
We all nod she closes her eyes and hold her white T-shirt down. The temperature in the room drooped and Sofia's red hair started blowing everywhere like there was wind coming from every direction. Then as sudden as it is started it stopped the temperature rose back up. Sofia, and her bags also, were gone.
Jazmin being new to the whole element thing looked scared
"It is ok" Alexa heard Jessie tell her "she just got transported to school using her power. The plate...yes the thing in the ground, take your inner power out of you and uses it to transport you were you want to go"
At the words inner power out of you Jazmin went still with shock. Seeing the look on her face Joey volunteered to go next. Jazmin was not happy about this. After much to long, Jessie finally was able to pry away from Jazmin and got on the plate putting his bags at his feet. He closed his eyes and the pressure dropped like you were swimming up out of the depths of the ocean. Alexa's ears popped.
Jazmin was clinging to Alexa's right arm. Fear filled her fire like eyes. Alexa tried to shake her off but she held on tighter as Jessie was surrounded by water that seem to come from within him.
"He is going to drown" Jazmin whispered so low that Alexa could barely hear her over the roar of the water
"No he is not" Alexa said trying to comfort her
Then, just like Sofia, he was gone in less then a second his bags also. Tears started poring down Jazmins face. Feeling bad Ruben suggested that she went next.
Probably only out of love for Jessie did she go because Jazmin was shaking with fear.
"Ok all you have to do is step in that middle circle.....yea there, and put your bags at your feet" Ruben told her
She did as told
"Now what"
"Close your eyes and think of the pictures you have seen of the W.A.F.E Elements Academy" Ruben said
She nodded and closed her eyes tight and within seconds the temperature raised to more then a thousand degrees and Jazmin's skin was in flames. It only lasted a few seconds before she and her bags were gone also leaving the smell of burning behind.
"Fire power is rare" Ruben told me
"I know, and for a newbie to be able to do that just shows how much potentially she has" Alexa said feeling smart
She let Ruben go before her so she was the last left like everyone else Ruben stepped in the middle of the plate and put the bags at his feet. He closed his eyes and the air became warm and breezy like a sunny day. From all around Ruben a wall of dirt was rising. Then as fast as it started it ended the dirt fell and disintegrated before hitting the ground. Ruben and his bags were gone.
Alexa being the last one stepped on the plate and put her bags at her feet. She closed her eyes and images the big castle that is known as W.A.F.E Elements Academy behind her eye lids. Alexa felt a rush of adrenaline go through her like water being dumped on her head. She felt the ground under her feet turn uneven.
Alexa open her eyes she was standing in front of a massive castle with four towers in each corner. One red, one blue, one green, and one yellow. She looked around at were she was standing. Alexa was standing on a rocky path that led up to the tree surrounded castle. The trees were different shades of red orange and yellow. It was truly the prettiest thing she had seen.
A short distance away were her friends Sofia and Ruben talked excitedly. And a couple more feet, away were Jessie and Jazmin deep in conversation.
Alexa walked over to Ruben and Sofia keen to know what they are talking about.
