Andy ended up confessing the story of the villains chasing him and why he was spared before since that question couldnt be answered due to his unconsciousness.
He was given some food just to keep him comforted while he stayed in the station for a few hours. He didn't eat them since he couldn't accept pity gifts. It was just wrong in his eyes.
"I'm going to go talk to one of my colleagues about how you're going home." Tsukauchi picked up his clipboard and strolled to the door, "You'll be fine on your own, right?"
"Yeah, I'll be fine." Andy shrugged without a second thought.
The detective nodded back before making an escape out the door. The room was cozy and warm so far which wasn't the thing that made Andy uncomfortable. What did was the lights they chose to hang. Horrible lights that buzzed yet no one talked about the annoying sound they constantly made, a high pitched hum. What was worse in his opinion was the light it gave off, which was grueling to his eyes and he felt bad that the detective had to spend hours in there.
"Yeah, he seems to be in constant trouble. I can imagine how being quirkless affects how people treat him." Sansa said over a coffee machine in the break room. "I can imagine that people are out to get him constantly."
"I'm just happy the boy didn't go home first. Usually I'm one for following curfew, but if he did I don't know what the League could have done with that information." Tsukauchi poured out some old coffee that was cold from sitting on his desk for too long. He had forgotten to drink it after talking to Andy about his day.
"Why was he even out this late?" He questioned
"He was selling compost and recycling, and was going to finish up the day by doing laundry. He didn't want to push his luck by staying out late so he left early, but he ended up feeling something was off when he left.” He disclosed. Tsukauchi waited for Sansa to pour himself a cup of coffee.
"Hustling, huh?" He replied, letting the coffee start brewing.
"Yeah" Tsukauchi noticed that he was in fact, not pouring himself a cup. He laughed at his mistake, "Uh, darn. I thought you were pouring yourself a cup! I wouldn't have poured my last couple of sips out!"
"Nope, sorry." He laughed as he took a sip from his own full cup, "I would share mine, but practically all milk. My wife says I make it like my quirk."
"I can't stand too much milk. And if I forget about it, i'll accidentally drink it later when it's all spoiled."
"You shouldn't be leaving it out for that long in the first place. Thats disgusting." He scrunched his nose at the thought of it.
"Eh, i'll live." He took a seat to wait for the machine, "Kid's long winded. I don't even need my quirk to see if hes lying either."
"What did he lie to you about?" The cat asked.
"About cleaning his neighbors appartment too or something along those lines." His eyes squinted trying to remember. He didn't even lie about anything other than cleaning his neighbors house. He muttered, "Something tells me he doesent have a good home life…"
"I'm wouldnt disagree with that suspicion. His mom hasnt picked up the phone at all. No one seems to be concerned about him not returning home." Sansa sat next to the man and checked the time on his watch, "Its almost midnight too. No ones called to see where their kid is."
Tsukauchi only sighed in return, not sparing another word.
"Hey, why don't you go home? Its late, and i'm sure Andy's fun to talk to." Sansa added with a kind smile.
"Its late for you too…" He replied, rubbing his face awake.
"And? i just started my shift before he got here." He gestured to the door, "I also want to talk to the one that taunted me for two years straight."
"What do you mean by that?"
Sansa fell silent, "Hes the vigilante P.Z. remember? My Wonder, you should get sleep."
He groaned into the table, "I still need to find out why the Leauge is even after him, and where they are now. And that stupid Nomu is so concerning after what Spooks said. If I could get in contact with her and find out what she knows i can figure out where theyre hiding. And shes a runner, so All Might have mercy, if anything happens and shes killed, we could lose valuable links and leads. Hopefully U.A. can convince her to stay there, so she-" he was cut off from his rant by his cup being filled by coffee.
"This is to get you home. You can think about that tomarrow. Maybe take your stuff home and work there if cheif says you can. Youre stressing yourself out pver things you cant solve stressed."
Tsukauchi watched the steam flow from the top of the cup. He was right. He was stessing himself so much lately over something he doesent even have the answers to. Maybe tomarrow he can ask Nezu if he had any acsess to Dalby. Shes gone face to face with the devil himself, or atleast, thats what she remembers.
"I'll call in the morning…" He said as he picked up the cup and added sugar inside that was conviently placed in the center of the table. "I'll see you Wednesday hopefully."
"Good. Get some rest." Sansa smiled with a bit of victory. Usually he would deny going home until he proved multiple points. It sometimes took multiple people all saying the same thing just to get him off of a simple case.
They both walked out together as they made their way to Tsukauchi's office. Sansa pushed open the door to see a boy curled up around a backback on a seat. His face was tucked into his arm and hidden behind the backpack with his legs akwardly keeping in place. A small whistle like snore came from the boy as he breathed. It was such a small sound the room needed to be completly quiet to hear to normal ears.
"Oh, god. He looks uncomfortable in that chair." Sansa went to go wake up the boy before he ended up falling over in it.
"Leave him, hes had an eventful day. I doubt hell mind sleeping until someone can pick him up." Tsukauchi stopped him by the shoulder and quietly spoke. "Itll be a while."
"So I should leave him here?" He asked, watching as the man picked up all of his important belongings and stuffed them in a bag.
"Yeah, sure. What is he gonna do, create a chemical explosion and carve a whole into the wall?" He scoffed at the idea of Andy doing much damage.
"You clearly don't know Andy." Sansa smiled back jokingly. Although he could destroy the room with relative ease, his quirklessness was predictable. He couldnt just blast a building to smitherines with nothing but his mind.
"I see…" He smiled as he walked out the door, "Seems like a future hero, a good kid. Id love to see where his herorics lead him, and what things he'll change in the future."
"Goodnight."
"Night." He waved behind the shut door.
"Andy… Andy wake up…" he didn't realize it, bit he had falled asleep.
Drool had collected on the side of his face and his sleeve. His lips were incdradqbly dry as he peeled his face from his arm and backpack showing lines against his face from the fabrics. He let out a small groan instead of actual words.
"Someone's here to drive you home." An officer he hasnt seen before tapped his shoulder.
"What?" Andy didn't understand what was being said. It just sounded like a jumble of words.
"You're being picked up." He repeated.
"My mom doesn't have a car though…" Andy rubbed his face and wiped away all of the drool built up. "If he has blonde hair and blue eyes, I'm not going in his car."
