What if Ash is a coma? This would explain why Ash and his friends don't age. If this is true, Ash's story could restart again and introduce characters that have not made an appearance yet in the anime. If they did, what would they be in Ash's life...

Red, Blue, and Leaf walk back to the Cerulean City Gym. When they walk in the gym, the Gym is exactly how they remember. It's a big swimming pool and there are buoys all over. On the north, south, west, and east side, there are circular decks that sticks over the pool. The north deck is used by the Gym Leader, the south by the door to get inside is used by the challenger, the east is by the referee, and west has a door to it.
The three trainers see Misty is talking to Rainbow Dustman on the south deck. Misty is back to wearing her regular gym outfit when they first walked in.
"Yes Master Rainbow, I will take care of it", said Misty.
Misty turns her head and notices at Red, Blue, and Leaf looking at her. She turns back to Rainbow.
"If you can excuse me sir, I have challengers waiting, unless they can wait quickly", said Misty.
Rainbow nods his head and pats her on the shoulder. He then stops to meet Red, Blue, and Leaf.
"Glad Misty did not hurt you too harshly, Red?", said Rainbow. "I corrected her behavior and I trust that she will learn from this. Misty may be short tempered but she is also a forgiving person to people who deserve it and she does her job well. Also, thank you for compensating for her bike".
Rainbow leaves the Gym.
Red, Blue, and Leaf look at each other and back to Misty.
"Rainbow Dustman is your boss?", asked Red.
"Yes, Master Rainbow is the leader of the Pokemon League", Misty replied. "We Gym Leaders all have to answer to him. In other words, we are the teachers to Pokémon trainers and Master Rainbow is the principal. Defeating us to get a badge is like passing a test in school".
Red, Blue, and Leaf beam as Misty claps her hands.
But first...I need my referee", Misty adds. "Chuck?"
"WOW WEEE!" (SPLASH)
A voice booms and a splash nearby and a then man appears, causing Misty, Red, Blue, and Leaf to look at him, startled. The man then climbs onto the deck. Red, Blue, and Leaf see a large, hefty, muscular man. He has fair skin, brown eyes, and short brown hair, along with a large, spiky moustache.
"WHOOOO, that was the best swim I've had", said the man as Misty tosses him a towel.
"Chuck, we...", Misty begins.
"I could swim circles around you Misty", Chuck interrupts her.
"Chuck", said Misty, getting annoyed.
"And I could even beat you in a race", Chuck continues his boasting.
