mariana entered hollywood arts that morning and made her way to her locker.

when she got there, she already saw her best friend robin standing there.

"hey, rob." mariana nodded.

"mornin', mari." robin greeted.

mariana opened her locker then asked with a smirk, "how was last night with chase?"

"oh my gosh, it was amazing." robin smiled. "we went bowling and he helped me bowl because i kept getting gutter balls. on purpose. because i wanted him to help me. because you know i'm amazing at bowling. anyway, then he fed me buffalo chicken nugs!"

"he...fed them to you?" mariana raised her eyebrows.

"yeah." she giggled.

mariana shrugged. "nice."

the red-head then began putting things in her locker when robin's pear phone rang. it was chase.

"hello?...hi...right now?...cool!...see you soon...bye!"

robin ended the call and slipped her pear phone back in her pocket. mariana raised her eyebrows.

"i have to go to chase's locker, but i'll see you later. bye, mari!"

"see ya."

robin skipped away and mariana smiled and shook her head at her best friend.

after putting her journal in her bag, she closed her locker and turned around.

when she turned around, she saw tori vega standing behind her.

mariana furrowed her eyebrows and pulled her head back. "can i help you?"

"hey, mari. me and some friends are going to karaoke dokie tonight. would you wanna come?" tori asked.

"why?"

"why what?"

"why are you inviting me? we barely talk. we only see each other in skiowitz's class and even then we don't talk." mariana replied.

"exactly why i want you to come! so we can talk and get to know each other more. you seem cool." tori shrugged.

mariana sighed. "okay, fine. i'll come."

"cool! meet us there at seven." tori said.

"sure."

tori smiled, then walked away.

mariana let out a breath of air. tori was way too nice, but mariana was somewhat excited to hang out with some new people.

what she didn't know, though, was that jade west, the girl she hated the most was going to be there.

mariana entered sikowitz's class just as the bell rang signaling the start of class.

"mari mari mariana!" sikowitz cheered. "you're here just on time!"

"oh great! now turn around and leave." jade said.

mariana gave her a dirty look and said, "bite me."

"i'd rather slam my head in a car door." she smiled, sarcastically.

"oh, why don't you let me help you with that." mariana fake-smiled back.

jade went to reply, but they were interrupted.

"girls, enough." sikowitz scolded. "actually, why don't you two come up here and act out a scene of my choosing together."

"no." mariana said.

"absolutely not." jade agreed.

mariana looked over at her. that was one thing they could agree on.

while mariana was staring at jade, she couldn't help but take in her looks.

her black hair with green streaks was curled around her face and she had a deep shade of pink gloss on her lips, but you could barely tell she was wearing it. she had on eyeliner and the tiniest bit of mascara, but the rest of her was all natural. she was wearing a black and white, cropped t-shirt with black lettering on it and black jeans with her brown boots. she looked hot in her outfit. for some reason, mariana felt attracted to her in that moment.

jade was feeling the same thing. she looked mariana up and down. mariana was only wearing lipgloss and some mascara, but same thing as jade, the rest was all natural. she was dressed in a white, cropped t-shirt with low rise jeans and a rhinestone belt along with black and white converse. the jeans fit her body so well and that's what jade was focused on. those jeans on her gorgeously toned legs.

"enough with the staring and come on up here!" sikowitz interrupted.

the two girls snapped out of their thoughts and looked at him.

grumbling, jade walked up onto the small stage and with an annoyed expression, mariana followed.

mariana sighed. "okay, what's the scene sikowitz?"

"i hope i get to fling you." jade said.

"i hope you fall off of the stage." mariana retorted.

jade squinted at the girl.

"okay, you girls will be playing lovers who are on a romantic dinner date." sikowitz decided.

"what?" the girls echoed.

they then gave each other a look then looked back to sikowitz.

"ready? and action!"

andre smirked and sunk in his seat. he was excited to watch. beck was shaking his head. he was nervous as to what his girlfriend would do if anything really bad happened. cat giggled and snorted when they got on stage, robbie and his puppet rex just sat there in robbie's seat and tori bit the inside of her cheek and wondered if this would affect tonight at karaoke.

sikowitz grabbed two chairs and put them across from each other for the girls to sit and they did so.

"wow, this food is so good, honey. but you know what would be even better? if it was poisoned." mariana said.

"aw that's so sweet! you're so cute, but you'd be cuter if you were kicked off of the chair." jade fake-smiled.

"oh my gosh, you're so cute too, but you'd be even cuter if i jabbed this fork into your eye!" mariana exclaimed and smiled back.

"okay, okay, cut. clearly this isn't working, so you can both take your seats." sikowitz interrupted.

"great."

"amazing."

the two stepped down and went back to their seats.

sikowitz had cat and andre come up and do a scene until the bell rung to signal that class was over.

the red-head girl grabbed her things and made her way to the door.

"hey, mari, you're still coming tonight, right?" tori asked.

mariana turned around, then looked at jade whose eyes went wide, then back to tori and smirked. this would be a perfect way to get under jade's skin.

"yeah. i can't wait." she smirked.

she then exited the classroom and heard jade yell, "tori! you invited her?"

thirty seconds later tori came running past mariana and down the hallway.

"i'm gonna get you tori vega!" jade screamed from the classroom.

mariana smiled. she could not wait to torture jade.
