I always stay prepared. An emergency surgery on a Saturday morning was not at all a trouble for me. I consume alcohol rarely and stay healthy to meet any kind of situation. As a doctor my only motive is to help people around and so I spent most of my time in my office, buried in work with dozens of files all around me. I am one of the best surgeons in the United States of America and I've earned this title by my constant hard work.

I process according to my schedule and am very particular about myself. I know people don't like the way I am but this doesn't bother me cause I am who I am and if anyone has a problem then they are free to leave. My passed experiences has shaped me this way. I don't believe in love neither do I believe in bonds.

This morning, during the surgery, illness and unfocused attitude of Dr Emily didn't go unnoticed by me. She seemed dull and tired. Though she had a mask on but her eye bags and the way she worked was enough to explain her health. I realised that she didn't even reacted when I yelled at her for her work delay and slipping in the OT which was weird cause she always replies back strongly.

Actually she's the only one in the entire hospital who never hesitates and talk to me by looking straight into my eyes. I don't really know why I endure it but she always comes up so bravely that I get stunted. No doubt her work is admirable and she's the best assistant I've ever had but today she seemed different and it was pretty concerning.

I even saw her take a sigh of relief as she got to sit down after a 3 hour long surgery which again was strange as her energy is beyond everything, it's actually not normal. She is like a honey bee in all of the hospital spreading sweetness and making everyone smile no matter what the situation is like.

Sadly, her idea of resting didn't go as planned. I used the sink beside the seat she was seated on and stated my word "I want you in my office please."
"The surgery just got over, I'll be there in 5." She replied in a tone which she uses when irritated.
"Dr Emily, I have work to do. after all I am not free, so I want you in my office right away."
"But Dr-" she continued but I interrupted . "Right now." I ordered on my way back to the office. I heard her annoying grunt which was Cu- I mean I heard her grunt and walked out of the room grabbing the patients file from the desk.
