-Ben-
-1 month later-
Things have been hectic lately, as we've been preparing for the feast being held. It's a come one, come all sort of deal. It's to celebrate the day Hiccup befriended a dragon for the first time in history. So hectic, that I haven't even changed form since that day those three strangers had shown up before mysteriously disappearing. I've been falling asleep as soon as my head hits my paws.
"Toothless! Tracker! Come on! We've been preparing for this day for like a month! Get up, you sleepyheads!"
I opened my eyes and yawned before getting to my feet. I stretched, and padded over to Hiccup's side.
He pat my head as Toothless got up, stretched, and wandered over as well.
Hiccup led the way to Gobber's forge.
Once there, he had me sit while Gobber put a very vikingish piece of armor on me. It covered my omnitrix and half of my back, but it looked pretty good. It was cool too.
Toothless got paint on his face and I think also on his wings. I wondered briefly what color it was.
"Don't you two look fancy," Hiccup told us as he looked over Gobber's work, "thanks, Gobber. Come on guys, we need to get going."
Since my armor doubled as a saddle, Hiccup got onto the saddle and hooked his peg leg into the special stirrup. He made sure the armor wasn't covering my gills, then patted my side, "alright buddy, I let you and Toothless sleep in, so let's see how quickly we can get there and not pretend we're late."
I grinned and crouched down before leaping forward like a pouncing cat. I dug my claws into the ground, giving me extra traction.
A huge table had been set up filled with food. There was a huge hole in the ground I had dug myself, and it was filled to the brim with fish for the dragons. And me, of course.
Three people with unfamiliar, yet at the same time oddly familiar scents were standing near Stoik, talking to him.
"Okay, slow down a little bit," Hiccup said as I bounded straight over the table, "yes, I know that was cool, but you could have landed on somebody."
Toothless bounded over the table and stopped beside me.
"Toothless! I just yelled at Tracker for doing that!" Hiccup glared at the black dragon before jumping down to the ground.
Both Toothless and I grinned at him.
Toothless bopped me on the head with his tail. I growled playfully before doing the slightly downward dog motion in the universal 'let's play' position.
Toothless mirrored it, and I bounded away with him chasing after me.
We eventually tuckered ourselves out not even an hour after waking up. I padded over and plopped down with a huff next to Stoik.
"A Vulpimancer," a familiar voice said.
"A what?" Stoik asked, looking towards the familiar stranger. There were three of them.
"A species native to the garbage planet, Vulpine," the person continued.
I raised me head and 'looked' at the person speaking, wondering how he knew that.
"A young one too. A full grown male would be more cat-like than dog-like, with a tail and stripes. They smell using the gills on their neck and hear and 'see' with the quills on their back." Sadness wavered off of him, "I once had a friend who told me that they see everything as shades of grey, and every living thing is merely an orange/reddish figure, for they can 'see' body heat," the speaker paused.
Hiccup had walked up with Toothless by his side. He looked towards the newcomers, "hey, have you guys come for the celebration?"
"Celebration?" one of the newcomers stated/asked.
I barked happily.
"Yeah, to celebrate the day I befriended Toothless. Otherwise, we'd all be fighting dragons still instead of living alongside them. We've been preparing for it for more than a month," Hiccup looked down at me and tossed me a fish, which I happily, technically inhaled.
"Vulpimancers are sentient creatures, yet this one seems quite content being nothing more than, well, a dog. Did you find him as a pup?"
"Are you talking about Tracker?" Hiccup asked, "we figured he was some sort of dragon. But no, we've had him for what, two months? Seems like forever. I was part of a search party for a lost sheep when I found him. He was covered in mud and running into everything. We washed him off in the lake. That's when Fishlegs pointed out that they probably can't really function when their gills are clogged."
"He may have been raised in a public zoo or in a poacher's ship, then."
"So, you haven't seen the person we've described to you?" the female newcomer asked Stoik.
"You are welcome to stay and search for him if you want," Stoik offered.
"Thank you."
I got up and padded over to the huge hole full of fish. I had to duck under the swinging tail of an oblivious Zippleback to get there, but I managed.
I ate until I was stuffed. I found a good sized fish about the size of my head, and picked it up. I trotted back over to where Stoik was with the fish in my mouth.
The scents of the newcomers was still oddly familiar. Hoping I'd be able to put my claw on it, I sat down next to one of them, the male farthest away from Stoik.
I dropped the fish into his lap.
"Oh, groooss," he said, almost standing right up.
"Kevin!"
I froze. It couldn't be could it? Could these three be Kevin, Gwen and Rook?
"We don't want to upset anyone, so just calm down," yes that was most definitely Gwen.
"Tracker!"
I turned my head towards Hiccup, who was standing next to Astrid. I 'looked' back at Kevin before standing up and bounding over to Hiccup.
