3. This story is actually the prequel to my first novel, Into The World. You don't need to read my novel before this, though. It can be considered as a standalone.
4. This story is based on two prompts from the Open Novella Contest (ONC 2023):
# 30 - You purchase a new home and during renovations you discover a human skeleton buried within the walls.
# 8 - You just moved to a new neighborhood and you hear the music of an ice cream truck coming down the street. As you and your family walk outside, you notice all your neighbors rushing inside and locking their doors and windows.
5. One last thing. This story is based in Henwrich, a fictional country located between Asia and North America, closer to the latter. Here's a map:
