Morning came a beautiful just risen sun softly welcome them, a rosy hue of color that filled the morning sky; another day that had dawn that brings hope and brand new day. A lovely and perfect day as melodic birdsong chirping started to drift in with the sound of waves and fresh air.
Irene was the first one among the three to wake up, "how did I ever let go of you my little love? Tama ka it's all my fault, I'm sorry but mama promised to fix it just let me ha. Help me also because I can't let you go this time already not anymore. Mahal na mahal kita my little not so little lovie", she stated and gently stroke Zoey's hair and planted a soft forehead kiss.
Irene then decided to go out she saw her manang together with her manong, nieces and also his two sons.
"Morning ma", the two greeted and went to give a cheek morning kiss.
"Oh good morning Irene", bati rin ni Imee at bong.
"Morning tita", all the boys shouted and smiled at nagpaunahan na pumunta sa van.
"Good morning, oh saan kayo pupunta? Bihis na bihis yata kayo?", nagtatakang tanong nito.
"Punta kami sa centro mamalengke, gusto mo sumama?", Yaya ni Imee kay Irene
"Hindi na manang tulog pa ang dalawa", sagot ni Irene at ngumiti.
"Kayo nalang manang. Sigurado ba tong mga ito na gusto nila sumama?", tanong na dagdag ni Irene pertaining to all the boys.
"Oo daw, may bibilhin daw at uuwi naman na tayo bukas", sagot naman ni Imee. Tumango nalang si Irene.
"Sus, alak na naman bibilhin ng mga yan", Saad ni Irene.
"Hindi naman tita, grabe yan", sabi ni borgy at sumimangot.
"Ganyan na tingin mo saamin tita", sagot din ni Vincent.
"Ouch tita you just us. It hurts", acting naman ni matthew.
"Tigil-tigilan niyo nga Ako", sagot nito Ng mabilisan.
"Si mama judgerist", gatong ni Luis.
"Oh bakit Hindi ba totoo?", tanong nito with her eyebrow raised.
"Sino lolokohin niyo ha", dagdag pa nito. Napatahimik nalang ang iba dahil Tama naman si Irene.
"Oh siya tama na iyan at baka tanghaliin pa tayo. Nauna na kami mag almusal kanina Irene kumain narin kayo mamaya pag nagising ang mag-ama mo.", Saad ni Imee at nagbeso na Kay Irene bago nagtungo narin sa van.
"Sige manang, ingat kayo", paalam rin ni Irene at nagtungo naman na ang lahat sa van mahigit kalahating oras din ang layo ng resort nila sa bayan. Minabuti na muna ni irene na magtimpla ng kape at pagmasdan ang nakapakagandang paligid.
Sa kabilang banda kakagising lang naman ni zoey dahil pumapasok na sa loob ng kuwarto nila ang sinag ng araw, she went to the bathroom to freshen up and afterwards went out.
"So unusual walang maingay?", She said. Umaga palang kase maingay na sa labas galing sa mga asaran at kung ano anong kuwentuhan ng mga magpipinsan.
As she was approaching the kitchen she saw irene having its cup of coffee in the morning which she usually does, She was about to turn around but unfortunately Irene noticed her presence, "good morning". Irene greeted her daughter.
Zoey had no choice but to turn her back again and face Irene as she greeted her back in response also as she went close. "Good morning po, where are the others? It seemed so quiet today", tanong nito agad.
"Pumunta sila to buy some goodies sa bayan", Saad naman ni Irene at ngumiti
Tumango nalang si Zoey and look at Irene, "Oh I see po"
"Want some hot choco? Milk or coffee?", Irene offered
"Ako na po gaga---", she was about to decline when a manly voice interrupted her and a huge arm laid on her shoulder she looked up and saw it was her father, greggy.
"Do you know your mama makes a good and tasteful iced coffee nor any drinks. Why don't you try? Hindi mo pa natitikman timpla ng mama mo", greggy was the one who spoke. Irene smiled towards her husband.
"Hm okay, an iced coffee would do po but can you add almond milk? Not really fond of coffee but today would be an exception as he said you make the best", zoe said and smiled which Irene nodded.
"Hon coffee saakin", singit naman ni greggy at naupo sa tabi ni zoey.
"Hindi ba tayo bati Gregorio", Saad ni Irene na masungit bago nagtungo sa kusina.
Greggy was at lost with what he's wife just said, "gosh", biglang Saad naman ni Zoey as she remembered what she saw last night.
"Why?", tanong ni greggy in confusion.
"You really are drunk yesterday night, don't you po?", tanong ni Zoey and look at greggy.
"I guess so?", Saad naman ni greggy na hindi sigurado sa sagot.
He doesn't remember what had happened already, all he knows is that they're just drinking and the next thing he knows ay kakagising nalang nito na nasa kuwarto na at mag-isa.
Zoey clicks her tongue and shook her head. Napakamot naman sa leeg si greggy. "Am I in deep trouble with Irene?", tanong nalang nito sa kanyang sarili at napapa-isip na.
As greggy was lost in his thought, Irene who happened to finish preparing the request of her mag-ama she went to them already and even prepared a hot pandesal for them, she's smiling.
"Oh Ayan kape mo", masungit na Saad ni Irene.
"Hon naman ang aga-aga ang sungit mo", Saad ni greggy na malambing.
"Tigilan mo Ako Gregorio", tanging tugon nalang ni Irene at umupo.
As greggy was putting some spreads of the pandesal he first gave irene the pandesal with butter and some cheese, zoey frowned.
"Thank you Gregorio", Sabi ni Irene as she gets it from greggy's hand.
Zoey pouted naman and greggy saw it, "What about you anak what spread do you want?", Greggy asked
"Butter and cheese po", she answered and bunny smiled.
Natawa naman si greggy, "looks like nagmana sayo hon", Sabi ni greggy and look at irene.
"Hmm", Aniya naman ni zoey
"Well your mama also like pandesal with butter and cheese", sabi ni greggy at tinignan si irene na kanina pa pala nakatingin sakanya.
"Well no wonder anak, your kuya alf and Lui also loves that one. Your mama totally loves it a hundred percent so I learn to appreciate it also", sagot ni greggy na nakapag-palam it na naman Kay Irene.
"Now I know kung saan ko nakuha ang tastebuds ko. Mommy and daddy find its unsual kase sabi nila butter is enough but the combo of butter and cheese makes it more masarap", saad namab ni zoey at ngumiti na nakapag pangiti Lalo kay irene.
"Better if the bread is mainit and toasted pa. Oh the combo", Zoey added feeling heavenly while saying it.
"It sure does anak", dagdag ni greggy. Nagpatuloy lang silang tatlo sa kanilang pag uusap habang kumakain na ng umagahan. Kalmado lang ito kagaya ng pagkalma ng mga ahon sa dagat at tanging kapayaan karugtong lang ng katahimikan ang iyong mararamdaman.
